Maybe the person that speced it out chose a black grill when they were building it. AFAIK its never been in a reported accident. I know the front end has been ran into at least two things before. But neither of the two I'm familiar with have caused any damage.
I need to go to the parts yard and look for some stuff. Black inserts, hopefully find some weathertec floor mats, maybe different dash/door card trim, non chrome door handles would be nice too. Would also like to find black A piller trim.
Oddly enough I've been thinking about finding some chrome grill inserts in a parts yard for mine. I've never liked chrome, but I've always thought the full shiny grills on the tahoes looked better than the black ones I've got.
My grandad never wears his and it scares the hell out of me. He was riding shotgun one time when teaching me how to drive and a deer ran out in front of us- and I about sent him thru the windshield with how hard I got on the brakes.
It would make jumpstarting other vehicles way easier as well, not having to fight that brace up by the firewall to get to the negative battery terminal.

Got the Tahoe into the tire shop for alignment after the leveling kit. I noticed yesterday that the drivers side front brake line was seeping up at the hard line compression fitting where it goes from hardline to softline on the frame so they'll look at that too.
