I rejoined the GMT800 fleet today with the auction purchase of this ‘02 2500HD:
Crappy part is that they had another ‘02 but without a plow that was in decent shape for its age that sold for only $1050!

Yuck. We only have a trace of snow but up to 24” is forecast for tonight’s storm. Last winter we had 227 inches total (19 feet). I have driven about 375 miles today just running errands and the crappy part is that I will have to drive another 65 miles to work tonight before the storm starts and...
Im glad that someone is posting evidence of LED bulb retrofit solution problems. The non-projector style OEM headlight assemblies were designed to run halogen and not LED. They were never designed to be retrofit which exactly explains why they blind the crap out of oncoming vehicles because the...
Its gotta be too good to be true. Also I learned more about the KYB true Self-Leveling shocks. The SR2004 are for the 2000-2006 Suburbans and the SR2003 are for the same vintage Tahoe's. They have the same travel distances but must have different internal pressure settings due to the obvious...
I just found this post at a different forum. Appears that one of the member indeed crawled under their truck and found "22811847". I'll have to check that out as RockAuto wants $49/ea. Too good to be true?
Edit: After looking at the part closer, I still question if this is a Nivomat...
I have Monroe aftermarket Max-Air MA830 air shocks. I'm convinced that the rubber has leaks as I've sealed up the air lines quite well. I want Nivomats because they auto-level without any sort of electrical interface or pumps. They just seem to "work". Unfortunately, it is ridiculously difficult...
I have spent a couple hours trying to figure this out and @swathdiver hits the nail on the head that with the NNBS Tahoe's we need the ZW7 and the G65 to get the magic Nivomat's. I am sick and tired of screwing around with leaky air shocks/bags. Does ANYONE here have a 07-13 Tahoe/Yukon with ZW7...
Here is a loaded 2012 Denali, clean, about 105,000 miles asking $10.9k USD.

It’s in Canada but importing GM and Ford vehicles are extremely...
Bottom of the catch can. I measured the threads before but I didn’t write it down. I guess I could just JB weld one in.

It’s definitely a water/oil emulsion; the fluid is similar too what I’ve seen before. I’m not losing any coolant either. Whenever I pull off the throttle body I see a similar emulsion in the chamber.
I’m just blown away about the amount of it. I’m going to have to find out what the thread is...
Emptied my catch can. Haven’t drained it since I changed the oil 3,000 miles ago (10-19-2019). It OVERLFLOWED this container! I am blown away how much water is getting into the motor!

Yeah why is that? I thought those two series vehicles had the same guts. My wife has a ‘09 Silverado and turning it is like turning a freighter.

I have an ‘09 LT. If you wants to use the Onstar app to remote start it then you’ll have to swap out the Onstar module with a 2010 or newer. For reference, I paid around $8000 for mine this past January and it had 92,000 miles. I’ll get through the winter and will need new rubber next Fall. It’s...
Amazon has like 1000 different brands. What makes the HIKARI stand out? The reason I ask is that 90% of my driving is in the dark and I don’t want to be screwing around with problems. I seem to read a lot of anecdotes about horrible quality LED lamps and I see a lot of them on the highway...
Those LED headlights are so GD blinding I can’t stand them. If you can’t beat em them join em. What brand did you get? Post a link.

I NEED a heated wheel. The balance between wearing leather gloves or going through the painful install is starting to tip as it gets colder and colder and colder... It doesn’t help that I recently installed the OE seat heaters. My Buick had the heated wheel and i dearly miss it. It would burn...
Wow I didn’t know the Detroit Lions franchise also had their own used car sales business. WTF there is no way they got permission to use the Lions logo. Even if it is slightly off, it looks too much like their logo.

I have a catch can too that also has the same fluid. I dare you to look in your intake and see if you still have the emulsion.

I usually see a lot of a creamy water-oil emulsion pool there. I sop it up with a towel and it just reappears the next time I check it 8-10k miles later.

I discussed this in the PPV forum but it’s estimated my work Tahoe idles 16hrs a day (at least) for 365 days for 7 years = 41,000 engine hours. IIRC it has like 50k
Miles (I should know this as I supposedly do a daily “inspection”). My 2009 personal vehicle is at 118,000 miles and 3400 hours or...
Oh crap you’re going to have to hammer on a 12-pt socket after heating the shit out of that bolt. I have a Port-A-Torch oxyacetylene kit that will get it cherry red but a long time with propane may work too. Find a 12-pt that is just a tad smaller.

I finally finished installing the rest of the heated seat kit (19158411 $100 off eBay). Wow. Started at 8PM and left the hangar at about 0030. Installed my new butt cushion too. Unfortunately I didn’t read the instructions all the way thru which at the end specifically note: “Program heated seat...
