Dave's 2006 Escalade AWD Build Thread

Okay I figured out what I was doing wrong, that was good learning experience for me. Hopefully future posting will go smoother! Now bare in mind that I am going to try and stitch together a timeline of what I've done so far and work my way up to present day over the next few days...

Dave's 2006 Escalade AWD Build Thread

Thanks man! Yeah I'm trying to fix them now. I'm using Imgur to host and I've tried every link code option they offer and nothing is working :wtf:

Dave's 2006 Escalade AWD Build Thread

Okay guys, I'm making my first foray into build threads with the 2006 Esky that I recently bought (mainly for my wife's use BUT, since I just sold my truck, this is now my ongoing project toy) and hopefully I can someday aspire to levels of Fosscore, 95escahoe and tgui, the sources of my...

    Brett's 2004 Escalade 6.0 AWD build

That's terrible, I would have thought the LQ9 would run like poop with anything less than 91 octane in it. Unless ofcourse you tuned it specifically to run 87, in which case you should be in the puzzle factory...

    2008 Yukon Denali, 135k miles, part 2!!

Yeah I'm wondering if the auto ride shocks on my wife's Escalade are due for changing. The rear ones have those air ride bladders on them and I feel like the compressor runs a lot more often than it should. But then again I've never owned a Caddy before and none of my previous NBS trucks were...

    Brett's 2004 Escalade 6.0 AWD build

True, but I'll take the LQ9 6.0L over a 5.3/4.8 anyday! Nothing makes me happier than mashing on the go pedal and waking the beast :driver:

You are correct sir, and why anyone would spend top dollar on a Caddy with no sack is beyond me...

    Brett's 2004 Escalade 6.0 AWD build

I feel your pain brother! I just sold my beloved 2005 Silverado SS since I got a company car with my new job and my wife and I are trying to save to buy our first home...

    Brett's 2004 Escalade 6.0 AWD build

I bought my 2006 AWD w/ 118k miles on it for $9k as a "mechanic's special" from a Jaguar Dealership in Annapolis back in January. It needed fog lights, an alignment, rear axel seal and the infamous front diff carrier bearing noise is just starting on it (I'm gonna rebuild the diff myself this...

Does your truck have DoD/VVT? If so I know a lot of guys on PT.net delete that crap ASAP because of all the valvetrain issues so maybe you're hearing the early signs of a problem in that area?

    2008 Yukon Denali, 135k miles, part 2!!

I second this idea, the factory rims on the NNBS Denali's ain't the prettiest wheels GM produced. I also like the 22" GM optional wheels from this era truck: CK375 is the model I believe

Call your local dealerships. There are usually mobile wheel repair operations tooling around that service them all. Same as paintless dent repair services...just need to media blast the poop outta them and get new chrome plating

Look into Centric E-coated rotors and Powerstop evolution carbon fiber/ceramic hybrid pads. I swear by this combo and if it fits into your budget I'd highly recommend it!
