I’m kinda new to suspension mods. What’s the best way to lower the rear so the truck sits level? I’m also in the market for new wheels and tires. Any recommendations for online sources where you maybe can see a pic of different wheels on my truck?
I thought about getting some factory wheels and checking if my local powder coater can match the color of the exhaust tips. The only aftermarket wheels I’m finding are black or bronze. I really like the color of the tips and think it would look good on wheels.
A few plans I have for my Yukon......
Both dash brake lights are on. Code says brake control module. Thats getting replaced asap.
I want aftermarket wheels, but holy crap there are 100s to choose from! Tried the Tirerack site but it doesnt offer a pic of 03 Yukon to get an idea of what they will...
My panic mode has started to randomly activate, sounding the horn. It’s only done it a couple times to my knowledge. But I’m afraid it’s going to get more frequent. Has anyone had this issue?
It definitely fixed the problem. Been running great until today. Parked it Saturday night with no issues. Tried to start it today and it wouldnt start. Tapped on the gas tank and it started right up. Thats pretty much the fuel pump needs replacing, right?
Wow. That sounds like my luck man!
We found part of my issue. Cats are definitely clogged up. Once that’s resolved we’ll see if anything else is causing problems.
Not yet. The shop I took it to has not impressed me so far. He’s had it since last week and hasn’t really done anything. If he doesn’t at least have some sort of diagnosis by tomorrow afternoon I guess I’ll take it somewhere else.
Another newbie question. If it turns out to be the cats are clogged. Can I do dual exhaust and eliminate the Cats altogether? Or is this newer stuff not suitable for that?
I checked the exhaust temps at the point of exit at the head. Seems like a wide range to be honest. Almost makes me doubt my thermometer is working properly.

If the cats were clogged to the point of causing this much of an issue, would it sound like it has an exhaust leak under the hood? It’s got that steady poofing sound when idling. That’s a silly way of describing it but I’m sure y’all know what I’m referring to.
I checked the exhaust temps at the entrance and exit of the Cats. They were within 15-20 degrees or so. Is that a reliable way to check them?
I checked that the coils are firing.
I checked the injector harnesses with a noid light. All were good.
Last night unplugging some of the injectors...
