What Kind of Resistors Are You Supposed To Use For LED Conversion?

Do you have the resistors all on the positive side? Did you do a voltage drop check across the resistors on install? Take your undimmed voltage drop from the dimmer circuit output to chassis ground then subtract the voltage drop across the resistors and that gives you what the diode is seeing...

All relays on the engine fuse & relay box diagram have the pin numbers reversed on my '03 Tahoe...

I accounted for that. Either the diagram is wrong, the relays are stamped wrong or the truck is wired differently. I have OMRON relays and I can clearly see the numbers. I could make a video to prove they are messed up.

    Factory Service Manual DVD

That would be great for me too but for an '03 'Hoe.

    Hey there

The previous owner mentioned something about torsion rods, is that what you mean? Does it sit differently than stock? I can't tell. Would these codes be what you are taking about? Thanks, I haven't done anything to it myself, I've only had it a day now.

What Kind of Resistors Are You Supposed To Use For LED Conversion?

If they are in series connected to your lighting circuit, a single 470 ohm resistor should drop the voltage enough. It depends on how many LED's in the circuit though. The more you have the less resistance required. I'm not positive on dash lighting but all lights in there shouldn't be one long...

What Kind of Resistors Are You Supposed To Use For LED Conversion?

Well, if they don't go through your dimmer circuit, get rid of all the resistors and use this buck circuit, no matter what voltage your system is outputting, this will hold your LED's at 3V...

What Kind of Resistors Are You Supposed To Use For LED Conversion?

Are they all wired to the same power supply in series or parallel and do they go through your dimmer circuit?

All relays on the engine fuse & relay box diagram have the pin numbers reversed on my '03 Tahoe...

Anyone else notice this? Did GM just mess this diagram up or what? Because every single relay in there works on my SUV yet they are all put in there backwards according to the diagram...and relays don't work if they are reversed.

New Yukon owner with some questions

Get underneath and have a look at the condition of the connectors on the transfer case. Unplug them and take a close look at the terminals. Look for corrosion or pushed back pins and signs of moisture.

What Kind of Resistors Are You Supposed To Use For LED Conversion?

Which LED's did you put in there? Post up specs and I can help you out.

    Hey there

I bought a 2003 Tahoe LS 4WD with the 5.3 Flex, Bose upgrade, 3rd row seat, GT4, G80, NP8 and VR4 options. It has the Silverado HD hood and the pictured aftermarket 16" wheels which I think really fits the LS model well. 170k miles on the ODO. The body doesn't have rust but it is dent free...
