    Folding mirror motor question

When I press the button and initiate a fold in or fold out on automatic mirrors, what exactly tells the motors to stop when the fold is complete? I just replaced both and while the drivers side is functioning perfectly, the passenger side, on fold out, tries to overextend. Drivers side motor...

    Roof weight rating.

So the rating for a 2007 Yuke is about 175lbs if I remember right. Is the rating for the rack? Or the complete safe load capacity for the roof? I’m considering replacing the existing rack with some suspended steel cable but that only makes sense, to me anyway, if the actual structure of the roof...

    2008 Tahoe Service Charging System

Let me resurrect this thread. My 07 Yukon is doing something very similar to this. Let me resurrect this thread. My 07 Yukon is doing something very similar to this. I also replaced the alt and it’s still not charging right to the point that the parts store is telling me that this alt is also...

Service Battery AND Low Coolant warnings

And failed. New alternator is reporting that it is failing to whatever device it is that O’reillys uses to talk to it. So: Motor cranks strong. Sitting in the driveway in park I can crank everything thing up. Lights, ac, radio. Needle barely moves. When the fans kick in interior lights dim...

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Replaced failing alternator. Overcharged my AC. Probably observed all laws regarding disposal of excess refrigerant. Avoided examining u-joints.

I don't get the attraction of all black, or all dark.

Resurrecting this thread. I’m close to murdering out the Yuke. Blacked out the front end and I thought I was going to stop there but something isn’t right. I’m going to use plastidip on the badges next, or pull them all together. As far as the general appeal, I’ve seen some that look stunning...

Service Battery AND Low Coolant warnings

Service Battery AND Low Coolant warnings

Fired her up again in the driveway. Ac, full lights, and fans kicked on at the same time and voltage drop. Turn lights and ac off and return to normal. No fans, ac and lights are tolerated. My meter says that charge is hovering between 13.3 and 14.8 when idling.

One more thing. I let it sit and idle in the driveway after the drive with full lights and AC. Gauge stayed a hair above 14 and did not move.

Service Battery AND Low Coolant warnings

2007 Yukon SLT 5.3. So after removing the MAF and cleaning MAF and throttle body I took her for a drive. Seemed a bit smoother than normal which was good. But about five min in the cluster threw the Service Battery Charging System Soon warning. I looked at the gauge at it was hovering just about...

Dammit. I can hear both motors and then a couple of sharp clicks. That’s got to be a busted plastic gear. Any insight as to where I can get that gear?
