    The KidWagon

I should probably clarify, the internals I bought, I still had to open and install it into my existing light.

    The KidWagon

Thanks, I cheated on this one and bought a pre-made light. The one I originally built sequenced from the center out with turns and brake lights but I kept having issues with the sequential modules so I finally removed and replaced that one.

    The KidWagon

Those tails are pretty cool, I like them. Here you go, this is the most recent iteration of the rear-end of the Burb, complete with my version of "Blue Dot" tail lights. I am old school and have always loved the blue dots they used to run in all the old hot rods and such. For the record my...

Kbuskill's 2008 Burb LTZ "MOD" Thread

Lol, no. I had my oldest son stand in front to block out the headlight because it was shining on the trailer which was washing out the picture and making it hard to see the puddle light.

Kbuskill's 2008 Burb LTZ "MOD" Thread

Finally broke down and bought the upgraded LED puddle lights I have had my eyes on for a while. I found these after upgrading the tag lights to a similar style replacement. The camera seems to pick up a lot more light than what is visible to the naked eye so the old LED bulbs I had in the...

    New Mechman 250 Alternator Question

I have a 2008 Suburban, but same thing. @iamdub did kind of a write up on it in his build thread. It plugs in and bolts up, the bolt holes on the back side are ever so slightly larger than the holes toward the front and you can put a sleeve in them to take up the slack. But in all honesty, I...

    2024 Tahoe EV RST look.

I know I am an old fart and probably in the minority but I think all the 2021 and up trucks are ugly, plus they got rid of the solid rear axle and went to IRS which although it may ride better, which is a matter of opinion, it is NOT a truck. I find that almost all new vehicles look alike...

    New Mechman 250 Alternator Question

The factory 220A alternator off of the newer body style is basically a direct bolt over as well and at a fraction of the cost of the Mechman. ACDelco Alternator - 13536552 I bought mine from Amazon back in July for $165. Looks like the price has gone up along with everything else. It is...

Let's sift through every square inch of a 2013 Tahoe PPV

The Moog CK "problem solver" arms aren't any more heavy duty, as far as the arm itself, at least not that I am aware of. The "Problem Solver" part is for the ball joints. Their advertising says... Problem Solver® Gusher Bearing -- Metal-to-metal design provides strength and allows grease to...

Let's sift through every square inch of a 2013 Tahoe PPV

This was true on many of the older 4wd hubs, like the ones used on 1st Gen S-10s, however the newer trucks use a roll formed bearing which means that the bearing's tension is pre-loaded at the time of manufacturing so it doesn't require an axle or stub shaft to hold it together. This is from...

    Upper Bal Joint Replacement?

I went with Moog CK "problem solvers" upper and lower and SKF X-Tracker Hybrid hubs. Zero issues. The X-Trackers are well recommended in the road course racing community for Corvettes and the like.

Fosscore's 2013 Suburban LTZ Build Thread

The K2 looks way better after seeing the abomination the later one is. No solid axle in the rear, before you know it they will ditch the steel frame and make them into a unibody. Without exaggeration, I can hardly tell the difference between the Ford and Chevy full size SUVs from the rear...

    Replacement struts

Not sketchy at all actually. It isn't my idea per se, Rough Country (you know the company that sells lift kits) actually sells a drop kit that is nothing more than Grade 9 hardware and a 1/4" spacer to do this exact thing. I just purchased the hardware from them without the spacer. I...

    Sooooooo, I bought a PPV ...

Not sure on a PPV. Mine is an LTZ and they already had the lights in the mirrors. I know a lot of the PPVs have like a "Stealth/Surveillance" mode programmed into them so the lights don't flash and headlights don't come on when locking/unlocking from the remote.

Tire pressure monitor error and fob not working at the same time?

You have to remove interior panels to access it. Removing the cables and shorting them together won't hurt anything but also probably not necessary. Just disconnect the positive and then turn the key to the on position for a few minutes, it will accomplish the same thing. You are essentially...

    Electrical gremlins- BIG ones!

These trucks are notorious for the battery cables corroding from the inside out. Even if they don't look bad. I would take the opportunity to go ahead and do a Big 3 upgrade. Next time it won't start, pop the hood and grab the battery cables and just move them around a little bit and see if it...
