What tipped you off to the fact that these things were fried with the update? (I’ll have to check whether it wiped out anything in my truck today— but nothing seemed overtly different in the drive back home.)
Don't bother, thanks. Just picked my truck up, and Waze wouldn't load at all this time. lol Works perfectly fine from the CarPlay menu (via the phone app), but is still miserable from the in-car app.
When I dropped my truck off for an oil change and two other software updates this morning, the dealer servicewoman mentioned that there was a 3rd update regarding the maps. So... Maybe that update will help with Waze loading maps...? Fingers crossed!
Are you sure you're not seeing the front (only) raise back up, and not the rear drop? It might give the impression that the whole vehicle is lowering when in fact I think the front it raising slightly.
Hey all,
I tend to use Waze via the app screen (as opposed to from my phone) in my '23 Yukon Denali. It seems like half the time I select the Waze app, the screen will go blank, or maybe it'll load a couple of the Waze icons in the corner of the screen -- but it won't readily load a map on the...
Hey, I see you swapped out the chrome trim pieces around the foglight. Can you tell me how you got the stock ones off? Did you swap them when you had the whole front off the truck? I'm looking to swap mine out without removing the front end/grille and without breaking the tabs of the stock...
...And I'm not sure what to use on it to buff it out.
I've used that PlastiX solution on some glossy interior trim pieces (specifically on the faux-wood trim) on my '09 Tahoe, and it did a great job of getting scratches out of that. But, you couldn't really tell whether it added fine scratches...
That's a good point. The lift gate also won't go up as high [as you're used to]. And the ride is never as good. But at least it's easier to wash the hood!
Yep, you missed it. And when you enter your model year, the site says that it does NOT work on '21s-'24s (which is at odds with the description on that page).
Hey, can you explain how to remove the fog lights' J-shaped trim piece (without breaking any tabs off the chrome pieces)? I'm thinking about swapping out just those pieces, but I'm not sure how to get the existing pieces off safely.
Thanks in advance.
