huh.. I don't have any reference because I've not added one, but the thing I've seen on other gm cars with a oil cooler is they have a relief valve in the aluminum block that mounds above the oil filter to the engine block. did you happen to notice if your Dorman set had this. I'll try to look...
oh yes, that 100% will set lights and I'd bet if you have scanned that can read the non standard chassis codes in the module there should be some fault codes for sensor out of range or something.
it uses those sensors to adjust shock damping if you have the mag ride which I'm guessing you do...
oh wait.. is that what the ride height sensor arm mounts to?
if so, yeah I'm guessing it just popped off but you'd thing it would he throwing codes or atleast driving weird over bumps.
interesting.
the element ones seem super nice, especially for small sports cars that no one is going to deal finding a full size mount and stuff for them. Just toss one in a glove box but sadly they bearly do anything in the real world. they work mainly by using up the oxygen the fire needs, but if the fire...
mine did something like this, passenger side would only go backwards. swapped the drivers side into it and it worked. Just happed to plug the bad switch into the driver side and it worked fine over there. I ended up swapping the switch itself inside the little housing because they are a mirror...
not that following their instructions is incorrect, I just feel this way is better.(see attached) it just takes a long time to complete, so no one would follow thru. I think that's why everyone just recommends the short cut. I haven't had a rotor warp since I starting follow this, even cheap...
clean looking truck.
I've changed my tranny fluid twice, first time I went oem acdelco dex6 that it calls for. got the part number for the dealer and ordered it online to save some money. (it's a lot of fluid) the 2nd time since I had expected to do more long towing trips with it, I went with...
the code P0700 is just a very generic code that says the transmission control module sent a request to the ecm to thru the check engine light on. you'll need a higher level scanner that can read all the other non standard fault codes to see what faults the tcm has.
the China version of the tech...
hey, I knew a Ford tech when we were all kids that was changing oil in his friend's girl friends car and he forgot to drain the oil. just spun off the filter and added 5 more quarts. a week later and started running really badly from being over filled. silly things happen to all of us. I...
so this is going to be a dumb question to ask, but I don't know your skill level, these trannys have a drain plug on the pan where most don't. is it possible you drained the tranny and and not the oil pan?
honest no clue where the tranny fluid went.. only thing I can think of is the tranny...
you honestly need a good scanner they can read all the non standard codes so you can fix all chassis issues. when you lowed the back, did you do shocks? there's a plug on top of the passenger side frame rail everyone knocks off when they change shocks. I did it myself. threw stability lights...
sorry to high jack your thread.
that looks great. going to be such a punchy setup. I had some of those runners and a hand ported plenum on a 406 for a little bit. all done by 4500rpm but man if you found some concrete that would hold 1st gear stab at 1500 it hit like a nitrous hit haha. funny I...
yeah I don't know, I've never used it but it might self shrink haha. close hood, go for a drive come back and it's all neat and tidy haha. the dei one is probably better cause all. their stuff is high quality but that's still cool.
they should have at least made a phone app what could store a log for you.
lame, I hope my 1 never goes bad. I see the first gens pop up for sale for the same price as new ones, I wonder if that's why.
yeah. millings is supposed to be good stuff.
definitely let us know if replacing the vlom works. not to many people replace that. usually they just delete by this point. for a very. short time I thought about replacing the vlom on mine when I first got it with no lifter issues and see if that...
interesting, I quickly Googled and looked like something about 17in brakes over some weight, I'll look and see what's different about the diagram with jd9
