    All of the above...... age causes the rubber to harden, then the tread will not wear properly.... That lack of maintenance on the tires... Better have the rest of the truck inspected....

    Allow the heat from the Sun to 'help' the fitment, for a week or so. ( I found, the edge, at the top of the long vent, needs help to lay flat on the windshield side ) Lay something heavy along it, when it is hot? )

    I don't have dash speakers ( '05 Yukon ) But my old '88 GMC truck did, and the dash mat had a thinner 'under mat' fabric at the speaker locations.

    A generic dash cover , probably don't allow for speakers.... "made to fit - year/model" covers should have just a thinner material on bottom.... on better quality manufacturers.
