    High Rpms in Park

FYI unless you are subscribed to the highest tier plan, OnStar will not give you vehicle code information. As me how I know... That's OK, I can pay for a code reader pretty quickly at the level I'm at...

    2024 diesel allocation?

The real question is what is anyone's opinion on when the last year they will offer the diesel? You KNOW that day is coming and I potentially would order "Just one more" before the end of the end.... As far as perfection goes, the next one you get in could have paint defects? Then what? I...

NO DRILL Rear Cargo Area Tie Down Solutions?

I think I'm going to strap to the cross piece where the 2nd row bucket latches to and keep the seats flipped up for the duration of the haul. That is a solid anchor point and doesn't rely on seat integrity.

NO DRILL Rear Cargo Area Tie Down Solutions?

I'm going to resurrect this again as I see the solution proposed, but I'm wondering if this isn't too much pull on the seat. Also, how would you get those forward-facing rings to face backwards toward the load? I'm thinking about possibly folding both rear seats straight up and trying to anchor...

About once every 2 weeks now my infotainment system is now randomly asking me to "Sign in with password to use connected services" while driving. I haven't changed anything and have been "signed in" continuously for almost 3 years till this point? When I reenter it..its happy for a while, but...

Pre Purchase Inspection out of town

You may want to do all of this….but #1 I would make sure to agree on a price that won’t change ….before traveling, unless show stopping deficiencies were discovered. #2 If the vehicle is THAT decent or desirable, the seller might not want to screw with all of your demands…Someone else will...

    Trim Illusion vs vinyl wrap

I had some things painted and somethings wrapped remarkably after almost 3 years most of it has held up pretty well. I’ve only had to have one piece of wrap section fixed.

2021 6.2L Yukon Denali Dead Battery Gremlin? Not the truck?

I don’t think this fob to close thing is true. Mine sit within 10 feet of my truck ( other side of wall) and have for the whole time I’ve owned it…..doesn’t do a thing.. The only real way to know is start pulling fuses on unneeded features till you pin it down or have a way to monitor the BCM...

In what situations have you used 4L/4Low?

I have not used mine once since new but I don’t spend winters in snowy regions anymore. Don’t care…. But you only need one or two times to really save your neck when you really need it. It also helps immensely on resale value as most people won’t buy these used without 4wd, especially in mid...

Recommended warranty that covers emissions ?

You’ll never find one that covers “Everything “ especially emissions related. They know this is a high failure point. But I’ve got lucky in the past by having an issue where emissions related things WERE covered as part of another covered failure (IE; blown turbo). if a covered item takes out a...

Any tips on bug and road tar/gunk remover?

Except when you mist something on like Tar X, it finds every microscopic spot, even ones you can’t see, that’s what makes this method more valuable. You may not see it but it’s there.

Any tips on bug and road tar/gunk remover?

The best Ive found is Tar-X. You mist it on and it immediately turns every microscopic dot of tar purple then it dissolve and runs like blood down your paint. Used it for years. Never harmed a thing….

    All Weather Tire Recommendations.

Pirelli’s never run the miles they advertise, then when you try to claim warranty, they say “we will give you 10% off a new set of Pirelli’s only” Big whoop…I’ll stick with Michelin. Every set I’ve ever had went at least 90% of the distance with proper care….

    Buying Used

Based on what I’ve gleaned here on this site, there is a whole lot more basis in owning a diesel vs a gas model….

Who has Tuxmats in their truck?

Husky X Act countours are the best as they are mostly rubber and not molded plastic. They lay down and stay down. I personally went with Lloyd’s luxe mats as deep carpet is cushier and I don’t deal with wet debris and snow. They clean up great have a rubber backing and fit perfectly. Did a...

Do you use your rear-view mirror in camera-mode?

100% of the time. Unobstructed clear view unless it’s raining. That’s the only downside. Who wants to see seats?

2023 Tahoe High Country is gone...

Yep, big isn't good for everything, but it is good for a lot of things.... Once you've had this space it's hard to go back to anything else. The bonus for us is, we can tool around in a land yacht and still get 23-30 MPG like a compact car.....

AC evaporator calls it quits at 32K miles?

Just put a new one in my house, System less than 3 years old. Pin hole in fins. Trane. Trane covered parts but I had to pay labor...1000.00. Yeah it happens.....

AC evaporator calls it quits at 32K miles?

If there is ANY record of the vehicle being in for this condition, prior to warranty purchase, the claim will be denied... Fair warning..... This is why warranty needs to be bought long before you go off of factory warranty.

    Synthetic diesel oil

Factory says 7500 miles, Fanatics change it at 3-3500, most people 5-6K, Oil properties based on actual testing say it can go farther than 7500 miles with no loss of protection. or 12 months .. but if you don't drive it 6-7000 miles in a year, probably should have bought a 5.3/6.2.....This thing...

Looking at getting a new AGM battery from Les Schwab.

#1 thing for long battery life? Keep them on a good AGM tender when sitting for more than a few days. Going on 6+ years in my oldest in FL heat with no hint of a problem.

    Incoming text messages?

GM used to have a native texting app but discontinued it probably due to liability. One of my biggest complaints as I am not an AA or ACP user. I just don't like how it dominates your whole system. So, no real texting functions/notifications in 21+ on its own....
