Eh, that is Future Dawn's problem at the moment.
Can anyone recommend a software program that would read the DTC's? I have an OBD1 DLC but when we tried to pull codes with my husband's datamaster software, nothing came up
That is it exactly. Monday she wouldn't start, would crank. Grabbed new cap and rotor, she fired up. Drove her to work and then the gym and home. That weird flutter/hiccup had gone away and I was like FINALLY! then Wednesday, no start just crank. Put in a new ICM, no start just crank. Put...
The 16197427 is the one I have in now. The hubby has an OBD1 scanner, we are going to hook up the laptop and see if we can get it to scan. I have the bastardized OBD1.5.
Thanks for the response. I think the PCM died. Only other thing i can think maybe is the ignition lock cylinder. Mine is wore out, you can pull the key when it is in the start position. I'm going to double check my PCM number tonight and see what is out there.
Good morning everyone. Got a strange thing going on the Hoe. I was having trouble starting her for the past couple of weeks. One day she'd be fine and then two days later, no start. She will crank, she won't start. Started troubleshooting. The fuel pump kicks on. I have replaced the fuel...
I checked it out. It's just ridiculous. The actuator I need to replace isn't the one behind the ashtray, it is above and behind the box. It does control heat. I just unplugged the pigtail for now and I can get cool-ish air through the defrost vents so I'm ok with that for the second. But I'm...
The blender actuator on the passenger side is bad I think. When the a/c is turned on, it just clicks/knocks. I had to pull the fuse to get it to stop. Is there anyway to get to that one without taking the dash off? Any help is greatly appreciated. The actuator on the driver side is fine...
Specific to a 2 door unless you are talking about the panels on the barn doors. Then that is interchangable. But the plastic C pillar uprights and the panel that runs from the back corner up to the B pillar is for 2 doors only.
Changed out my TBI. Bingo! The weird flutter and rich smell is gone from my truck. It's like it is brand new. Next thing up for replacement are my shocks, they are wore out. Need to sand and seal the roof rust spots and maybe finally put on my fender flares. Slowly but surely she is getting...
Have you done any brake work lately? When I changed out my pads, I had to replace one of my caliper pins. Didn't do the other side. It would catch on the side I hadn't done. Don't remember if I heard any clunks but it did mess with braking for a bit.
It's a 1995, it has the 4l60e and the NP241C t-case, manual shift 4WD and that might be something to look at. When it stutters in drive at a stoplight, sometimes it feels like it pops out of gear or kind of sits down, if that makes sense.
Replaced the headliner with the great one I found at LKQ. Replaced the a-pillars, the right rear panel, changed out my overhead console and replaced my alternator. I have a friend that pulled his 5.7L Tbi motor out of his 94 1500 and let me pulled all of the goodies off of it I wanted. Got a...
#2 is your fuel pump. These fuel pumps are notorious for having the floats wear out and the pick up struggle to get fuel in it when it's low. I just replaced mine, wasn't too bad. But make sure your ground is really clean on the sending unit, check your fuel pump relay in the block under the...
Replaced Oil pressure sensor, cranks right up. Runs a little smoother and the gas gauge seems pretty accurate. It does dance a little but doesn't make half tank swings anymore. Thinking this weekend is going to be inside work as the hubby is at hunt camp and it's going to be blowing too hard...
