I too did a lot of stupid stunts in my youth and somehow came away unscathed :)
My fastest drag car (see my Firebird avatar) 7.50 @ 182mph in the 1/4 mile, 1.08 sixty foot time, 4.85 @ 143mph in the eighth mile. This equates to a 0 to 60 mph time of .85 seconds.
And, I piloted 4 different jet...
I haven't floored any of our drivers either:
07 Yukon 6.2
02 Corvette 5.7
07 FJ Cruiser 4.0
12 MKX 3.7
51 Chevy PU w/catless gen4 5.3
I've had many drag race cars. If I want to go fast I head to a track :)
I've often thought if our 2007 6.2 L92 gave up I'd find a 2010-2014 4.8 L20 to replace it. We have no need for the L92 power and would like to run 87 octane with its lower compression.
L20 doesn't have AFM, does have VVT(good), is FlexFuel compatible(good), and an iron block(good).
I think we...

Yeah, like when I did the RMS job, I'll lower the vehicle close to the floor and use my HF lawnmower jack to pull it and install it.

07 awd Denali w/193k miles.
No leaks but I think the chain is stretched.
Has anybody rebuilt their Borg Warner BW4485 (rpo code NR3) awd transfer case?
and did it reduce the Clunk?
I've watched some videos and the job looks easy enough and parts cost is about $300.
TIA
crankshaft pulley/balancers on these engines need replacing when they get old. They are 2 parts, inner and outer, held together by rubber that gets old.
pulley balancer < $100
seal <$10
bolt<$20
rent /borrow the removal & installation tools from the autoparts store
What @B-train said above. The VLOM or valley cover has O-rings that can get old and cause oil pressure loss. I'm changing mine (193k miles) soon as preventative mx.
Maybe a cracked oil pickup tube o-ring? Overfill the engine by 2 qts. With engine fully warmed up, park it nose down or raise the rear. If the problem goes away you've found the problem.
If not, use 20-50 oil and see what results you get.
In case you didn't know? The first # of an oil is an...
@skpyle
my control arms w/bushings and w/ball joints came with nuts, cotter pins, grease zerks.
Yours don't?
Our Denali is pretty much rust free.
So, in hind sight I really didn't need the bearing hub bolts, or the camber/caster hardware kits. I could have easily reused the originals, but I...
5+ yrs ago bought a Yukon and all eight of my plugs looked much worse (see pic). My piston rings were stuck in their piston grove. I did Technical Service Bulletin TSB 10-06-01-008M...
My notes indicate when I drop the lower hose I only get 2 gals out. So I do this every couple of yrs w/NAPA Orange Dexcool so that the coolant doesn't get too old.
