    Pcv valve

spray flammable Brake Klean around all possible vacuum leak areas to see if engine rpm increases. If so, you found the leak. Our engines can compersate for a vacuum leak by adding fuel (to a degree) before it sets a MIL/Check engine light. Get a scanner and watch live data while idling and...

    Potential Autoride problems

I would bet the shock bladders are wasted unless the PO replaced them. The shock air bladders & compressor on our 07 Denali were dead 5+ yrs ago at 130k miles when we bought it. We don't tow or carry large loads, so we did not fix it ($DIY $800). Still rides like a dream with 193k miles now.

I've been driving it for a couple of days now and everything is good. Ole front brake pads were near minimum meat left. Upper ball joints were a little loose. Tires are at minimum tread 4/32s after 5+yrs and 63+k miles, and showing more wear on the inner tread. I set the camber at +.5*degree...

2012 Chevy Tahoe low oil pressure/ shop says I need new engine!

If it were mine I would: send an oil sample to a lab for analysis, like Blackstone-Labs, JG Lubricant Services, Oil Analyzers Inc, Wix, Polaris Laboratories. I always have about 5 sample kits on hand. Results will tell the tale (metal in oil or not). Overfill the engine by 2 qts of oil. Warm...

    Pcv valve

2007 doesn't have a pcv valve. The baffling inside the driver side valve cover serves as the pcv valve. Vacuum line runs from the intake manifold to the catch can, out of the catch can, to the nipple on the rear of the driver side valve cover. You should not have an audible vacuum leak. If you...

@skpyle verify that after installing new the cam and crank position sensors that the ecm etc does NOT need to be told to play nice with these new parts?? I bought new cam & crank position sensors yrs ago but haven't installed them because I was led to believe I would need a Tech2 or whatever...

07 Denali w/193k miles. Current tires are 5+ yrs old and 63K+ miles. The ball joits now have a little play in them. This is causing greater tread wear on the inside of these ole tires. It needs a new set of tires, so I'm fixing the front end first. @OR VietVet , I've been following the...
