    Didn't you buy the brake kit? I would think 1" would be more than enough to fit stock wheels including the spare, but I don't know for sure. You should test fit it.....it only took me like 45 minutes. Two caliper bolts and tuck the existing caliper up on the control arm without disconnecting it...

    I agree..... I could be shaving off critical mass that was engineering into the part for rigidity and heat transfer. The thing may flex and crack or break under stress while coming down a hill, I could lose brakes and have an offroad excursion. I would've much preferred to be through functional...

    Its a good question. I don't know if the design is patented. You could query it at the US patent office and see if there's an answer in the design notes. But for me .... I'm just gonna dress it up a bit. If I had wheels that fit the raised ridge silver caliper would be on the Tahoe.

The design has evolved somewhat from initial release. Its a big heavy steel part that only cost me $75 and from my perspective a little shaving...

    You should do that...... @brembo LOL ..... That looks great! Or cut the sticker up, which I may have to do because of the limited "face" space and spell Bremo or Brebo LOL I tried to contact the company that makes the high temp sticker to make some custom ones but I haven't heard back yet...

    Looks Good! Yes the trans temp is available through the cluster harness from the BCM or PCM I don't know which. So all you need is a cluster that has the gauge function and it'll work. Trans Temp is not available through the OBDII port or you could display it with some app gauges like Torque or...

    Mine is an 03. DDS had so many options I kinda got overwhelmed. I didn't really lower the mileage, I was just kidding. I just thought it was funny how easy it would've been to do. And if CARFAX sees a reported mileage less than the previous, its flagged as a rollback.

    Progress on the calipers so far. Machinist says the metal is very hard......some sort of alloy/mix of iron and steel. I have everything for the install, I just need the wheels! Geez

    I'm waiting for wheels.....there's like some national wheel shortage going on....COVID-19, Chinese Mfg delays, and container ships parked or something. So in the meantime, I gave the calipers to a local machinist who is going to shave and smooth them. Then I'll decide whether to paint or powder...
