What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

I'm starting early prep for a road trip coming up in a few weeks. Checked brakes and fluids. While I had the DS front wheel off I repositioned one of the chrome inserts that I jolted when I hit a curb in a parking lot last week. A car stopped in an aisle at night for no apparent reason and...

That's the most American thing I've seen all month!

    22” vs 20” wheels

It depends on the design. I bought some lightly curbed 22" Esky Platinum take-offs and had them refinished because I wanted OEM, liked the design, and got a decent deal. Local to me (SE US), I see sets range $400-$1000, depending on style, condition, and whether or not they have decent tires...

One of the best songs...EVER. You, sir, have lived well if you recognize that.

That's one great thing about living in SC. State law requires everyone carry zero-deductible glass breakage on their car insurance. It's "free", which means it's built into the premium somewhere else, lol. But at least there's no incentive to drive around with a broken windshield.

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

I realize every situation and driver is different. But I've had something like this happen to me twice. Both times, as I approached an intersection, I hit my turn signal and slowed like I was going to turn. Both times, they took the bait and turned to stay in front of me, whereupon I went...

It's just like the housing market in my area. It's an incredibly good time to sell. But then you're just on the other side of the equation when you buy. Unless you're relocating, or you already own your next house, there's no motive to cash out.

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Yeah, and I'm thankful for those people. That way, after a few years, when they depreciate to an affordable level, I can get one. My first full size SUV, a 2002 Expedition, I got 3 years old for exactly 1/3 of sticker price. That was special circumstances, that probably won't converge again...

Excellent choice. I've been using them on my SUVs and other cars for a while now. I even have a set on my Datsun.

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Agreed. I'm not sure GM could survive too many more hits. But in my opinion, they could have at least offered a discounted price to owners with cracked dashes, or a rebate, or...something. Instead, they ignored it, and used their legal team to get the class-action lawsuit dismissed. That's...

These contract automatically, and are easy to install/remove with the right tool. There's a reason OEMs use them. I grab a handfull every time I visit the U-pull-it. But the Helps section of every car parts store has them, too. I will say buying them online is hit-or-miss, as the size is...

    Replicating NorcalSS Drop Kit

Sorry to let you down guys. The parts are still sitting in my shop for now. I got pulled away from Yukon mods for a while due to a side hustle opportunity I couldn't pass up. I'll pop back in when I get some time to work on this. It's my DD, so I'm expecting to spend one weekend on the free...

Weird. The AlloyWorks price may fluctuate depending on how many clicks it gets. When I checked just now (3 hours later than you posted), the price was $299.

Changed the oil and emptied the catch can this past weekend. There were about 4oz of "chocolate milk" in it, which I assume is a mix of condensate (from cold weather) and oil vapor. What was the consensus on cleaning the throttle body? Disconnect battery or no? Mine needs cleaning, I think.

Nope. My window unit HVAC in my shop committed suicide and took the outlet out with it. Been busy installing a mini split. And it's too cold to work outside anyway. We've had snow twice this week, which we rarely get.

    Black Bear Tune Review

I saw some recent activity on this thread, so I thought I'd provide an update, now three years after the tune. All is well so far. The truck drives and shifts as described above. I still enjoy the drive every time. I changed my O2 sensors (just the fronts since the rears are deactivated)...

I don't know if I need one or not. But based on my experience lowering other vehicles, I bought a Spohn adjustable panhard bar, too.

    Replicating NorcalSS Drop Kit

I didn't call him. But I texted him, assuming he'd respond to that before he'd answer a call from an unknown number. No response. I sincerely hope Tony is okay. It's kinda weird that he'd just ghost everyone like that. I would expect better of a reputable business. So it does make me...

For now, my plan is to use the BT rear coils and retain the factory Z55 shocks. I've seen a number of recommendations for using Trailblazer coils instead. If the ride is too firm, I'll try a pair of those later. It looks like the rear coil swap is the easiest part of the whole process. I...

It might be a reflection that his website hasn't been updated in a while, plus the recent price increases for most everything. But his $550 kit costs about $800 when sourced separately right now.
