I would've preferred the 5.3 when buying my '23 Suburban, but the 6.2 is the only gasser offered in the High Country trim. Almost 3k miles and lifetime average is 17mpg but premium gas :Boo:
My 23 HC Suburban Mocha interior has a more leathery-pungent odor than my 23 HC Suburban black interior, both about the same age/miles. I figure must be a difference in the dyes used.
Yeah, pulled my insurance card out and read the VIN# to them.. twice, but they made me sign a piece of paper when I paid that said no refunds on touch up paint.
My local Chevy dealer screwed me on touchup paint even after I originally provided my '23 Surburban's VIN# saying they don't refund touchup paint. Oh well, only $35 but now they say the correct WA-130H is unavailable from Chevrolet.
Where is best, or safest place for me to order touchup paint...
Meh, I never use my '23 Suburban's infotainment screens anyway (except to program car settings), rather I simply enjoy the drive and being disconnected when outside the house
Yeah, I should've been more clear, I generally "remote start" my 6.2L and 3.0 Duramax suburban's when at the house before departing. The v8 gasser is toasty warm by the time it self-shuts off (around 10-min) while the Duramax isn't blowing hot air, rather I have to be a couple miles down our...
4 months ago here in NE Georgia, Diesel for my 3.0L Duamax was $5.40/24mpg=22.5cpm and Premium for my 6.2L was $4.20/16mpg=26cpm so only 3.5 cents per mile difference.
There's a smidgen of cost for the DEF fluid and according to GM, we're supposed to be buying their brand Diesel additive for...
No, the Duramax Suburban does not feel underpowered -vs- the 6.2L Suburban, key words being "not underpowered" and I drive both.
Yes the 3.0L is a little slower to 65-mph when launching from a dead stop, or maybe passing but surprisingly my Duramax Suburban is more than sufficiently powered...
Got the Suburban back from Hammer Head PDR repair and I am so very-very happy, no 2 month bodyshop job, no paint-thinner or Bond-o smells. There is the match-head size paint chip that flaked off before PDR.. but amazingly Hammer Head got rid of that pinch and twist on the ridge. Also the door...
As they should, my parents taught me not to judge a book by its cover. Many CEO’s commit worse crimes against we consumers than I can barely grasp
All in all, it's people performing the hands-on so I generally try to avoid vehicle service on Monday mornings, Friday afternoons and any Saturdays
Drove a '23 Tahoe 6.2 4wd for about 45 days earlier this year that it too had a similar whining noise from rear undercarriage esp noticeable between 40 to 55 miles per hour, very aggravating to me since I don't listen to radio.
Decided to trade it in on '23 Suburban 4wd with diesel powertrain...
PDR guy sent me a video of his progress so far, he wants a few more days with it but I'm VERY VERY pleased how it's coming along..
..and I thank you forum members whom brought the PDR option onto my radar
.
Just noticed @Deuce16GMCs that you have a 23 Tahoe. I bought Tahoe 6.2 HC with air ride adaptive suspension in Jan and did not care for it as compared to the identically-equipped Suburban that I got the previous month.
The Tahoe had an irritating drone/whine coming from the transmission or rear...
Honestly, I feel for you and others with that squeal noise but I’m extremely pleased with my ‘23 6.2 Burb and don’t want to become depressed after going on a Witch Hunt to then actually discover a problem that I was previously happy NOT KNOWING that I had.
I sincerely hope you can relate
I'm very fortunate to never hearing the squeal in my 6.2 suburban and I am VERY attentive to all sounds and noises.. especially since I never listen to radio and don't carry passengers or pets. I enjoy listening to the vehicle, wind and road noise
Will 6.2 cylinder de-activation occur when dash button is D and slower rural roads don't let tranny shift into 10th.. only gears 1-9 ?
I see that forcing console (dash) button into L and choosing 9 then cylinder de-activation won't occur.. but is the results the same if I never drive...
