My 22 has done that since day 1. I only have 1,200 miles on it, I was going to ask about it at my first oil change.
It sounds like a loose belt. My old '00 jeep cherokee would do this on startup until the rust on the idler pully bearing broke free every morning.
I did select it and it made the trip 2 mins longer. I was honestly a little disappointed.
Maybe I was supposed to pick up snoop dog and Warren G on the way?
Those are some fantastic alternate route suggestions. Instead of the 8 minute route I think I'll take the 68 year route. Really great work there google.
Subscribing to this. I already have scratches from my kids soccer cleats. They step right on the emblem and then spin around on it to climb down. (They are 3, 5 and 8 years old and every one of them does the same exact thing).
They gave me the same load of crap. Tell them to point to where in the manual it says the automatic lights are supposed to come on in bright light for safety reasons.
I told them it wasn't working as per the manual and there was an error code so they needed to replace it. They did...
Honestly this is the first time i have looked under my car since i got it. There is a lot going on under there, but no rear skid for the diff (2022 Z71)
Got my sensor replaced yesterday. The lights work correctly now.
They also installed a 2" gouge on my leather dash panel while they were at it.... they say they have a "guy" that can "fix" it....
YOU are way overthinking this. Screw on green valve caps. Done.
The customer will never know the difference.
Seriously though, what percentage of "nitrogen fills" do you think are actually done?
22 z71 here...
Does anyone else's vents squeal when they are pointed hard to one side?
My wife hates the vents blowing on her so she points her vents straight out to the sides. They then make a faint squealing noise, it's not loud but it is obnoxious (its the kind of noise you dont notice at...
22 Tahoe Z71 -- my headlight sensor was bad from the factory (headlights would come on in bright sun). Even though there was a trouble code for the sensor they still didn't believe that there was a problem... took almost 2 days, and an escalation to the service manager to convince them that...
Just got back from the dealer. Took them a full day (they kept it overnight) to "troubleshoot". I had to convince the service advisor the lights werent working right despite the fact they found the sensor error code within 5 minutes of me arriving. They said they couldn't replicate the...
It is a myth that nitrogen isn't effected by temperature. It follows the ideal gas law like every other gas. PV=nRT temperature goes up, pressure goes up.
The "R" value is a correction factor (since no gas is actually ideal).
R for Air = 0.287 kJ/kg.K
R for N2 = 0.297 kJ/kg.K
so very small...
So I think I figured out why the mileage is so diffeent...
In the mornings I leave for work when it is dark and cold with the heat on and in the afternoons I drive back in the hottest part of the day with the AC blasting.
It seems that the AC might have a larger impact to mileage than I...
So I guess it isn't like that on all the 2022s then?
I have a service appointment to have my headlight sensor looked at on friday (lights turn ON in full sunlight instead of off). I will add that to my visit. If they won't address it then I'll mask it and file/sand.
Thanks guys.
Yep, refilled when it got to 1/4 tank. I never run my cars to E. I think I put something like 17-18 gallons in it. At 15.5mpg average that's about 275 miles which sounds about right.
6.2 Z71 375 miles on the odo
I get ~18 on the way to work 4 miles of backroads then 11 miles of cruise control at 75mph.
I get ~14 on the way home. No idea why it is so different, but its consistent...
I am consistently getting 2 mpg average better on the second tank of gas than on the...
I like that, i might buy a set of them to keep in the back.
Along those lines, do you have any suggestions for a "general" tool kit that fits in the awkward/shallow under-floor storage in the back of the tahoe?
Was thinking something like this...
