What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Last time I drove my Yukon, there were icicles hanging from all over. It is going to take me awhile to get used to living with a filthy vehicle for 4 to 5 months of the year.

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

I don't think I would go on that long a trip in that weather with a leaky radiator.

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

If you worked drilling rigs in that sort of weather, you're a lot tougher than I am.

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

It was -24* in Wyoming where my Yukon lives but I have not been there in a few weeks to drive it. The old lady did not mention anything about any new noises, but then again, she was too busy griping about the cold. :p

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Did the new bushings get rid of any noises or clunks that you had? I want to do the sway bar bushing in mine soon. I have no noises yet but I know they are a common wear item.

    1985 El Camino

Wow, talk about misrepresenting what the guy was selling. That really sucks that you're out all that time and money. It can be so hard to find a decent project car these days. Stories like your happen far too often in the antique car world. I have two cars from the 20's and would like to add a...

Don't forget to clean those tips fellas!

My Yukon has already moved to Wyoming while I am still in the People's Republic of Calif but I will be joining my Yukon full time in less than 4 months. Simichrome is used by a lot of folks in the antique car world. It is a great polish.

    1985 El Camino

Did you end up grabbing the El Camino? I have a '64 El Camino that has been a perpetual project. Bought it about 35 years ago and I have never driven it. It was originally purchased as a parts car for the '64 Malibu SS Convertible I owned at the time, but it was so solid and straight that I...

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

I sure am glad that where my Yukon lives in Wyoming, E85 doesn't exist. Plenty of pure gas but zero E85. :) One of my sisters has a 2008 Silverado 5.3l and if you run E85 for more than a few tanks of gas it will throw a cat code. Run a few tanks of regular gas through it and the code goes away.

    Front End Refresh

I will have to look into some mats like the ones you have @OR VietVet After laying under a car for a few hours, the next day I feel like I got thrown off the back of a moving truck. So those mats should help.

    Front End Refresh

As it is, I'm only 13 years away from 70 and if I do a major job like a complete front end rebuild, I need a day of rest to recover. Once I'm retired I hope my energy level actually increases but I'm not betting on it. And, thank you for your service, Sir. I never served but veterans like you...

    Front End Refresh

I will be moving soon and I plan on getting a decent lift in my garage/shop when I move. I've always wanted one and working on cars using jacks and jack stands doesn't cut it anymore when you're north of 50.

    73 Camaro

Does your Camaro have a 10 or 12 bolt rear end that your new posi unit is going into? Axle upgrades, too?

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Got tagged $340 for a new windshield. Less than I expected.

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Took the Denali to the glass shop to see how much they wanted to replace the windshield. Caught a rock this morning that ended up cracking the windshield almost all the way across.

    Electric Running Board Removal: Pics?

Biggest issue I have with the factory running boards on my 2011 Yukon Denali is the top surface is very slippery when they get wet or get snow on them. I will most likely replace them before next winter. In the meantime, I plan on putting some grip tape on them to make them less slippery.

    Front license plate bracket?

I've been trying to source a front license plate bracket for my 2011 Yukon Denali and have been coming up empty. I'll have to see if this plate posted above will work for my Yukon. But, $50 is pretty steep. My Yukon has never had a front plate but it does have the little nubs for mounting a...

    2009 Tahoe LTZ Keyfob

I have seen where the pads for the most used buttons on key fobs go bad over time. That would be the lock and unlock buttons, of course. I would open up the key fob and try cleaning the 'contacts' with rubbing alcohol on the end of a Q tip and see if that helps. If not, then I would just buy a...

    Aftermarket bumper/grill guard 2011 Tahoe

There are remarkably few options for the Yukon as far as full cover guards go. I have been thinking about one since there are tons of deer in the area where the Yukon lives.

    A question for the collective.

I have only done a couple headliner replacements on the fiberboard/cardboard panel and I used a large wire brush to remove the old foam. I don't recall it being especially difficult but it did take some time. The fabric I used already had the foam attached to it. I found it at Michael's Fabrics.

    Adjustable trailing arms

When you install any adjustable trailing arms you should have a pinion angle gauge handy so you can set the pinion angle correctly. I'm not sure that the correct angle is for this platform but that should be fairly easy to find out. But, if you pinion angle is pretty good as is, with your drop...
