The air filter on your truck is well designed...with a stock motor, I can't imagine you would see any difference at all. All the CAI companies throw up mpg and hp increases, but its never on a stock motor.
And once you move to the reusable filters the aftermarket companies put out, you will...
I'm seriously considering these:

After wheeling for months with my suspension lift, hands down the most annoying feature of my suspension were the tbars...they were banging into everything!!
I'm hoping someone on here has actual/real life use of these AND has...
What about the front diff? Is it standard RTV from the factory or paper?
As an aside, I rebuilt a 14bsf and slapped it in the rear...I used standard black RTV then poured Royal Purple in it :( I guess this will force me to change the oil out in a few years when the RTV is eaten through...
I personally was not aware that you can NOT use synthetic lubricants with standard RTV sealants. As most of us use Permatex Black RTV , this is pretty important stuff.
Technical disclaimer from Amsoil: Check out bulletin #4...
I was told AutoZone is engine only...but I could always stop by and check for myself! Good idea on the cleaning...I should have some carb cleaner laying around and I can spray onto the contacts.
Thanks Sunlit! Where are you located these days??
I like you're thinking...but I actually saw a set of these on a few trucks out west and they personally seemed a little big for me.
However, when you posted that pic up, it reminded me of why I need rubber and not molded...i'll break molded when I wheel (picture me driving down a shelf...then...
Nice man - awesome looking truck!

Check out this race...I need to build a rig for this event!

My airbag light is currently on and unfortunately my scanner is only for engine codes...anyone in the MA/CT/NJ/NY area have a more comprehensive scanner?
I travel a bit between these states and would be grateful if I could hook my rig up to it for a few minutes.
Just inspection...but if I can find a nice set, I'll keep them permanent; I'm thinking the molded route, but they all seem so cheap looking from photos.
I'm going to investigate grabbing a pair of factory ones.
I found these rear shots
no time like the present...!! I know it's easier said then done, but the hardest part is actually just leaving...being on the road is a dream come true!
I have to grab a set of mud flaps for my rig to be legal...anyone know of half decent looking ones??
I've checked a number of sites and they all look pretty crappy...
Any folks have photos with them on their rigs?
it's been really hard to grab wifi for any length of time...so apologies for the slow updates!
I've added a bunch of new photos on our website if you want to check it out!

We're in Tahoe for the next few days, so hopefully I can get some more pics up soon on this forum...
Thanks Battel
We decided to stay another day here and take a break from camping each night...i think i may have to stay away from the table games after the whooping last night :Plugged:
exactly!!
These rigs are awesome and I had ppl coming up to me throughout Moab asking questions about my truck. If you're careful and know how to work with the weight of these things, they are AWESOME expedition rigs that can even do some rock crawling.
As usual, I was the only Chevy...
Thanks Red. Apologies for the delay, I just grabbed some wifi late last night. What kind of rig (mods?) are you running with?
A stock Tahoe with an experienced driver can definitely do all the blue (medium) trails....the red (difficult) takes bigger tires, armor and a lot of pucker power to...
