I haven't called for quotes yet, but from what I've seen online, the axle assembly is a few hundred more then the rear diff. That is IF I am looking at the correct one, or one that will fit.
So instead of swapping my rear diff to a 4.10 from the 3.42, I'm thinking of getting a new axle with a 4.10 gear ratio installed already. My reasoning for thinking about doing this is because I'm not sure how well I would do with lining the 4.10 up where it needs to be and with a new rear axle I...
Yes and yes
The harmonic balancer does a have a wobble to it, a buddy of mine says it maybe has a few more months, and I am hearing a sound towards the driver side rear of the engine when I let off the gas
I don't know if you read it, just throwing this info out, but I think my crank is lobing. That's why I'm wanting to do something with the engine, I think I might wait for tax season, get a secondary vehicle and then either wait for the Yukon to give and repair it or just start fixing her up once...
I do need to change my front main seal and when I do that I am going to be replacing the harmonic balancer it's one of the few pulleys I have yet to replace and yes I did mean lobing, thank you for correcting me. I did post a link to the video I took, I'm not sure how well it'll sound though
I'm not trying to 'hot rod' persay, but just something that'll make people look at it go "I wasn't expecting that shit" like I said this is my daily driver as well, so I don't want nothin too crazy
Ok so if I rebuild the 4l60e with a new or upgraded torque converter along with a 4.10 diff, would I have any problems? If so what should I address or how should I address it?
Well the reason I'm looking at new motors is because I believe that the main bearing on my crank is loping, I still have to get a video up but the sound only happens when I take my foot off the gas
And my dumbass moment has arrived, hahaha, but like I said that's why I'm here, so I can get knowledge and not **** this truck up.
So would my best bet be a engine rebuild or remanufactured L59? until I can do the same to the tranny and rear end
Ya but I don't see anything saying it's flexfuel. I might be over looking, or just don't know what to look for, I see the L59 on the glovebox sticker though
Great questions, ok so first this is my daily driver, so I don't wanna go too crazy with the power. What I want to do is be able to accelerate better, burn a little bit of rubber every now and then and have a decent amount of HP for this rig. I don't do any towing, but you never know I might...
