Random Misfire and Fuel Pump Diagnosis

If you have access to hptuners, efilive scanner or a tech2 you can manually trigger the pump through the pcm.

Well good and bad. Good is it seems easy to make work just avoiding the bushing all together. Bad the part i need doesnt seem to exist and there is no such pivot bearing. I am having some washers custom made.

Any interest in 4wd front coilovers to replace tbars?

No harder than the procomp mount. The shock should never bottom out, and if it does thats what the soft bumpstop is for. And yes just a washer so the stud wont go through the hole since the base isnt very big.

Any interest in 4wd front coilovers to replace tbars?

I dont have my truck at the moment, but like you mentioned I dont think the angle of the shock changes much as the LCA moves through its motion. You can test this out yourself by installing the shock without the spring and moving the LCA by hand. I would take pics of it at full compression, and...

Man you are on all the forums! Have fun with that rear half snap ring. I hate that MFer.

    Tinted front windows + windshield?

On my old truck I had 20% on the windshield with a 5% strip over that at the top, 5% on the sides, and 5 over double 20 on the back 3.... very dark indeed. Was great to drive in the day (eyes are very light sensitive), and wasnt as bad as you would think at night. Often required rolling down the...

Any interest in 4wd front coilovers to replace tbars?

I dont think its really needed no. The hole in the hoop is too big amf would need a washer regardless. My brackets should match the angle of the hoop so it should be the same but i like my brackets bettet if you go this route since i know its a flat surface to ride on.

Any interest in 4wd front coilovers to replace tbars?

So I took some measurements, for the guys that want to do the stud top, if you get some sort of thick washer or spacer that is 3/8" ID and 1 1/8" OD I think you can use the stud top directly with my upper bracket without messing with a bushing getting crushed. Let me know if there is any...

    Coil Over Conversion Installed

Im gonna try a few ideas when I get home this afternoon on the stud top thing...I personally dont think a bushing (and all the problems associated with it) are really needed considering the procomp adapter is a solid mount. So im going to see if I cant find a bearing that will work with it to...

Yea, exactly why I prefer to go by cv shaft angle instead of fender height. If you dont have CVs, tie rod angle will work just as well as long as its still on top of the spindle, heck even UCA angle would work, just be harder to measure. Philosophically, I made these brackets with only my setup...

    Coil Over Conversion Installed

I think mine is around 32 (dont have the truck at my house to measure), but I think the truck fender is different than the tahoe fender. Also I like measuring from the center of the wheel to the fender since this will eliminate tire height as a variable. Furthermore, I think it would be better...

I kind of expected that sooner honestly given how low you had the spring adjusted. I made very careful to have mine sit in the middle of travel, which is higher than you have. The solution is to adjust the springs up to give it more downtravel. I suggest adding the bumpstops before the shock...

Random Misfire and Fuel Pump Diagnosis

Check the "PCM B" fuse, thats the one that controls the fuel pump control via the PCM. Double check the plugs for cracked insulation and check wires for burns. OHM all the wires, stock wires are roughly 950ohms. Any time ive had misfires its always been ignition related. I got really good at...

That sounds more like a shock setting...also the resonant frequency of the springs comes into play at some point, but there just isnt a lot of room to work with to try different rate springs with dofferent preload.

Haha I have plenty of parts made, but like you alluded to people just dont want to spend $$$. For everyone 10 people I have ask about them I might have 1 actually buy something, even after reducing prices. Thats why im grateful for the few on this site that have taken the plunge and have been...
