I ended up with the midnight edition z71 wheels and love them. The duratracs make some noise though. I’ll be going with Falken at3w when these are done
No Ticking at all so thats a good thing.
oil pressure shouldnt drop off like that after being warmed up. I would spend $10 and change thge filter again and so every 1000 miles or so for about 5000 miles then another oil change.
The pressure slowly dropped off as suggested it would above. I did as suggested and changed only the filter. Pressure instantly jumped back up and then slowly dropped again but at a slower rate. Took about 500 miles first time and 1500 miles the second time and changed the filter again and that...
This should be pinned lol
I ended up buying new HVAC controls from Advance in a last ditch effort to solve this issue before a 2000 miles round trip. Low and behold.....after calibration.....it’s all working except the recirc actuator.
As a side note...three brand new Dorman actuators for sell!
Came out to go to church and it wouldn’t fire. It was about 1/8th tank and parked on an incline so I rolled it backwards to level surface and still nothing. Just cranks and cranks and cranks. Cycling the key in an attempt to pressurize the fuel system results in a hit maybe from one or two...
Anyone used one from ebay? Im nervous becaue theyre substantially cheaper than MOOG and OE.

I do not have that code. Just a regular z71. I did not lift the rear at all. Those jounce stops are literally falling to pieces and the front are not in good shape either. I’m trying to find a set for lifted fronts that way it’s all one piece. Are the back susposed to be touching too?
I have not had it aligned yet. Long work days prevent that. I was planning to have it done this Friday. Would adding the jounce stops affect the alignment?

Had it at a shop they said all bushings were good. I guess I’ll just change them all myself. Jounce stops are not in contact. Let’s build a Parts list and I’ll get busy.
I had considered springs. I figured they’d get softer instead of harsh. What advice did they give? Don’t get me wrong... it rides a lot better and handles better too. It just still really harsh on bumps. It hard reall bad
Just did leveling keys and Bilstein 5100s this morning and my burb is still harsh and shit hitting rough patches and the occasional bump. I got stock replacement for the rear and the 0-2.5 inch lift for the front. Thoughts? Could it be bushings? What about those jounce pads. Those are not touching.
Got the oil changed. I added some lifter stuff I bought at advanced and ran it about an hour or so before changing the oil. The oil that came out was gross. Absolutely disgusting. I changed the filter and added 6 quarts of Valvoline 5w-20 that's dexos approved blah blah blah. Anyway when I...
