Just as the title says. Spent two days replacing my front evaporator core. Got it all back together last night and the blower motor only works on high. Think it's just coincidence that the resister went bad at the same time I was messing with the wiring or what should I check.
Just found out...
Those are nice but I'd prefer them in an 18 at the biggest. Not a fan of low profile all terrains. 18 with a 285/60R18 is as low as I'd be willing to go. Oddly enough I was going to ask if anyone had powder coated the stock snow flakes.
I'm wondering if anyone has these on pewter? Almost time for new tires and thinking I may get some new wheels too. I'm not a huge fan of all the flashy fuel wheels or those types of wheels. I prefer the OEM look I guess. Thanks in advance
I've confirmed all of my bushings need replaced. Seriously. They're terrible but what can you expect with 250k on the clock. Anyway. As I replace those I wouldn't mind upgrading my sway(anti-sway) bar to decrease body roll while cornering. Would a 2500 swaybar help?
who has replaced their carpet? My dash is peeling and is black underneath the tan paint. Planning to peel the rest off and replace my carpet with black carpet. I'm also going to try and make it quieter on the inside. Who has done what and how did it work out?
I was expecting to be put in a econo box for a week while he has my burb. Wrong. We went to enterprise and he rented me a 2017 Suburban for a week while he fixes mine. I can't say enough good things about Mike at Accountable Transmission. Despite the issues with my rebuild I feel like he is...
Little update. Called the shop this morning. Tranny did some weird things over the weekend. Wouldn't shift into first etc. told me to meet him at enterprise. Renting me a vehicle until he gets mine right. Despite the hassle I can complain. He is doing the right thing I think.
It's also not shifted down to first a few times today. How long before I just ask this guy for a refund. I can't afford to keep leaving my vehicle there while they guess at the problem. I've lost all Confidence in this shop and I plan to communicate that on Monday.
Shop put in another reman converter. Shutter is gone but now it has some vibration. Taking it back. I don't want the guy to lose money but my truck isn't right. It had zero vibration before this.
On the hose side. I didn't see one disconnected. Any idea what it's called? I'm going to start...
Ok guys thanks. Yeah I put e85 in it and then the transmission went out. Just got it back out of the shop and now it's misfiring. New plugs and wires and it's still doing it. Read that it could be the TCC but I want to be 100% sure it's not something else before I take it back to the...
Behind the oil fill tube there is a metal line that something is supposed to be connected too. Any ideas? I noticed it while putting plugs and wires in today trying to get rid of a miss.
Just weighing my options..
Rebuild myself $500 no warranty etc
Local shop $1500 12 months..I don't really trust transmission shops
Checking in to purchasing a reman unit and sending my core back. 3-5 year warranty. Prices from 1300+
I'll be using it to tow about 5000-6000 pounds...
You're right but those people probably live in an apartment complex or equivalent. In that case rent a truck or trailer 3 times a year. Again if you want a truck because you want one that's fine. lol. When my kids are grown I'll be driving a Silverado because I want one and I deserve it. Haha
Keep it coming. Sometimes
Hijacked threads end up with tons of info in them. Like I just learned about some brushes to help keep my burb clean and I'm looking in to clay barring.
