Suggest spending some time on an RV site that discusses towing issues. Such as https://www.irv2.com/forums/f45/. Some report towing long, heavy trailers without problems but you'll note the number that noticed a night and day difference when they upgraded to a longer wheelbase vehicle such as...
Not much different. And by the time you add in the weight of the tongue, the weight of the hitch and the weight of all of the people and things in the Yukon you will be pushing the limit.
It's my understanding that the harnesses are the same whether you have the MAX Tow package with the integrated trailer brake controller or not. Just not connected to anything. Without the MAX Tow package you don't get the ITB controller any of the other needed components. Everything I also...
Wouldn't recommend it. Loaded you may not exceed the towing capacity but you will be tight on the payload capacity of the Tahoe. Also, a trailer that long and a tow vehicle that short will make for a very uncomfortable, nerve racking drive. Personal experience with my 2019 Yukon Denali. My...
I found that the GM integrated trailer brake controller on my 2019 Yukon is overly sensitive to changes in the gound. Not just lack of ground but also other pathways of ground. Discovered this on our last trip. Have an Equalizer WDH hitch and on a recent trip I didn't use the plastic pads on...
Mileage sounds about right especially if part of it was 70-80 mph. Air resistance gets significantly worse at that point. I've gotten mpg into the 20's staying below 70 mph.
2019 Yukon Denali 6.2L
You don't mention what size engine and trans gear ratio you have but I would say stick to the 24 ft limit and stay well under your towing capacity. Towing capacity is for a flat bed trailer. Not necessarily for a high profile RV. Also watch the cargo capacity. You should have 12-15% of your...
6.2L Tahoe XL or Suburban minimum if not a 250/2500 pickup. I tow a 24ft 6000 lb fully loaded trailer with a 2019 Yukon Denali 6.2L with max trailering package and thats about at the safe limits of weight and length for that vehicle and wheel base. The posted limits from GM are for a flat bed...
Has anyone put on an aftermarket trans cooler on a newer Tahoe or Yukon? I have a 2019 Denali 6.2L with a "CombiCooler" radiator that has the portion for the A/C radiator and a portion for the trans cooler. Looks to be pretty large, especially compared to the little ones in the older models...
