So here's 3 coats and a wet sand before the third coat. Has a few bubbles so I'm going to sand and coat one more time. I'm happy with this now, I just want to see how nice I can get it.
They are the louvered plastic pieces in this pic. They are in the body behind the appliques. I know this is an older Tahoe in the pic. Just using it for location reference
This is looking a lot better. Nice and tight. Now I just need to put about 5 costs of epoxy on top, wet sand, buff and polish. I now know why real carbon fiber stuff is so expensive
Actually I thought you were talking about how easy it is to remove the vacuum bag stuff. The carbon and epoxy is very difficult to remove once cured. Have to grind or sand it off or use a heat gun to soften then peel it back.
It's not really a station, just a car window.
the weave has to move to wrap around contours.
It peels off easy. It's designed to not stick
I get it from various places online. Whoever is cheapest
I broke up a drug deal once. Was pulling out of a parking lot and straight ahead of me there were 3 people making an exchange. They looked at me, tossed whatever was in their hands and all ran in different directions. It took me a minute to figure it out haha.
As for tailgater's with brights...
I used plugs like these. Silicone them in place and then put vinyl color matching stickers over them.

I sanded it and used 3m spray glue to apply the cloth. Then coated out in resin. Turns out the resin makes the spray glue not hold.
Second attempt I put a coating of resin on the parts and after a few hours when it's tacky I'll apply the cloth. Then vacuum the pieces and see if it holds
My steering wheel looks like crap so I'm attempting to do a real carbon fiber overlay with resin to make it look nice. If it turns out good I might do the rest of the pieces.
Today I upgraded the halogen spot light bulb to a Whelen LED bulb. Seems brighter and whiter.
Also installed a front/rear driving camera to document idiot drivers haha
125 sounds good. The seat bottom has some burn marks in it but the back looks good still. I'll try to message you some pics. And I only have the passenger front seat. Already sold all of the other ones.
