I have to get the friggin gate to open first. I saw that there’s a way to open the buggered from the inside.
I’m thinking there’s frayed wires as You mentioned. This rig came with a back up camera. That also works when it wants.
I’ve got a Scout trip in 2 weeks that I need the gate to...
I was fortunate enough to be in MI during Woodward dream cruise this year and snapped these pics the morning they unvailed the new Vette.
The line to see the red vette inside the portable climate controlled trailer was a mile long. I’ll wait to get in one when my brother gets to take one...
Ok your talking foreign language to me!! Lol, but I’m interested in seeing how it works. To whom do I contact? Having GM cars/trucks from 2007 to 2017 would be awesome to be able to do stuff like this.
Your referring to the entire harness that’s coming from the roof area of the truck and into the tailgate behind the 3rd /center brake lamp?
Ive had to silicone the cover that attaches to the body into place. It was broken and was letting water into the truck.
I’ve been told, have to look it...
Thank you,
I really need to get a tech2 or similar. It’s been on my list, just need to research which candy module I need. Have 3 GM vehicles from 2007 to 2017 you would of figured I would of done this by now.

Congrats, Welcome to the forum. I see you purchased your truck from Chicago motors. I got mine from them in July. Great truck so far and the guys @ CM were awesome.
Good luck

You guys are frigging awesome!!! Thank you!
I know most of y’all know this stuff, but I’m learning all the stuff about these trucks. My last truck was a 2003 Silverado easy as hell to work on.
Now I‘m getting a push bar to add lighting. Didn’t want to put holes thru a bumper that’s in...
Anyone here have sites that show the wiring harnesses used for up fitting the extra lights in our trucks?
I’m trying to see if the harness used up in front of the truck for police lights can be reused for my lightbar and fog lights without having to run yet more wires into the truck.
Thanks...
I had one rear shock frozen in place and the other was so bad that it came apart as I pulled it out of the truck. Never heard of 2 being frozen in place.
Finally got a few things tackled on the SSV. Running a bit better with less stumble now that it has new plugs n wires.
This week I took my wife to the airport at an ungodly hour and found out that the rear lift gate wouldn’t open. The glass pops open but the gate wouldn’t open.
Figured it...
The jump seat doesn’t look like the one I have in my 2014. It looks like it’s from a Silverado. That might be the reason it’s not a direct bolt in. Butttt its just my 2cents worth.
I started fussing with the wiring in my SSV.
The connector for the power outlet in the jump seat console area. I cannot find what type of connector it is.
Also where does it go to up under the dash.
The pics below show the connector.
I know we have some gurus on here that know this...
I totally hear what your saying!!!
I’ve been putting on rotors and pads on my vehicles getting on the back road and bedding them in. I swear that it helps in braking.
That said I’ve also found cheap rotors are just that kayyy rap!
NAPA has Ultra Premium rotors and I’ve been using them and...
The truck was in need of rear pads and rotors after I bought it roughly 5000 miles ago.
I’ve been using the Premium NAPA brand rotors and Hawk pads ( LTS ones in this case) on all of my cars and trucks for years. I use my vehicles for what they are intended to do, IE towing hauling and...
Ok before I get the, your pads are low & you need to replace.... I did that with rotors roughly 4000 miles ago. The sound isn’t from a high spot on the rotor/pad finally making contact either.
Im getting an annoying squeal when braking. Hard to tell if it’s the rear or the front. Just to...
Plugs n wires and brake switch replaced. Damn cold wishing it was last week here when it was in the 50-60’s. Will see in the next few days to see if this parts fix my recent throttle & inop cruise issues on my SSV.
From as East as you can go in Pa before crossing the Delaware into NJ.

Personally, Rockauto is better. A1auto I’ve used before with lots of issues. Twice I ordered parts that came in the correct boxes with the part number on it, buttttt the wrong part in the box. I.E. ordered a 6 lug hub bearing assembly for my Silverado, when it came in box said 6 lug but had...
This might only apply to 2003-2007 trucks but I had the same issue a few years back on 03 Silverado.
I went under the hood to the fuse panel and pulled out the fuse/relay that says SEOB1. And or SEO IGN. After pulling them out for a few minutes and putting them back in all was good...
I also was wondering if it could be motor mounts. It idles fine do not see the motor moving around.
My other thought was one of the coils starting to fail or getting weak if that’s such a thing.
thanks
Paul
I was under the assumption that all trucks had the AFM in them. Learned something new!
My truck doesn’t have the DIC switch, however like most of us know the wires are there. It’s on my list of improvements for this truck.
I’ll see if driving it in Manual mode makes a difference. That I...
I understand what AFM does, just not sure of it’s specifics.
Does it only turn on above a predetermined speed?
Is it always active say at surface street speeds, above 25 MPH?
I’m getting a stumble at surface street speeds. It doesn’t matter if I’m on the throttle/maintaining speed or I’ve...
Ok, my remote has the glass release on it, and my truck being a retired police truck sure as heck doesn’t have a power lift gate.
On my list of mods for this truck, rear lift gate release from the inside.
Im already looking to build this sleeping storing arrangement!
