GM Authority has reported a minor refresh for the Tahoe/Yukon/Escalade lineup for 2024 but I haven’t seen any details about the actual infotainment system yet.
My guess is it will be similar or the same unit but in the new dash enclosure as their spy reports show a dash similar to the pickups.
Curious how you make out on this as my ‘21 Tahoe is doing the same. I did use one treatment of the BG Frigi Fresh product in the vent intake area above the firewall/below the wipers area and while it improved a little it’s still there.
I know my iPhone 12 charged fine wirelessly but my iPhone 14 Plus which is a little larger won’t charge worth a crap in my ‘21 Tahoe.
I’m not sure if it’s due to an alignment issue or if it requires more current. I’ll see it start to charge then it stops within maybe 20 seconds.
My...
I’ve got the 14 Plus and have had the same issue in my ‘21 Tahoe. It won’t charge worth a crap and I don’t have the camera bump like on the Pro.
I suspect it can’t deliver enough power wirelessly but that’s just a guess.
Just like with you, it worked fine on my 12 model.
One thing I noticed with the wireless charger on my ‘21 is since I upgraded my phone to the iPhone 14 Plus it’s very slow to charge in there or sometimes it cycles from not charging to charging which is super annoying. I’ve had to resort to plugging it in a few times when using CarPlay as it...
I don’t have the new Google system…could it be steaming it through the vehicle’s hotspot and not using the satellite service?
I’ve noticed with the apps on the older infotainment system the streaming apps are a little slow at seeing the hotspot and caching content.
Sounds pretty typical to me as my 5.3L Tahoe does the same thing most of the time.
I’d make sure you’re using the Premium TopTier gas as yours requires the Premium fuel. Using the TopTier fuel did make mine seem to run a little smoother at idle although it might just be in my head too. :)
I've heard of it happening on a few (happy to report it hasn't happened on my '21). If you check out the NHTSA website there has been some reports there of it. I'd encourage you to report it there also as its a bit of a safety hazard in my mind.
Either here or that website it sounded like...
Update…asked the dealer about it and I wasn’t able to find any bulletins related to it.
The dealer claims it’s normal, but would still be curious if anyone else has that on their ‘21+ Tahoe/Suburban.
Got a ‘21 Tahoe with 17k miles on it which I’ve had since it was new in April 2021 so it’s about 2 years old. It sits in a garage most of the time except when I’m at work.
I’ve noticed both headlights have a fog inside each of the lenses that looks like they’d be 5-8 years old. Anyone else’s...
Was thinking the same thing as the previous post. If you disable WiFi it not only disabled the hotspot on the vehicle but also kills off CarPlay since that also uses Wi-Fi. Ran into the same problem.
They so kindly changed it on the ‘22 models and later where I think they’re standard now or at least standard on most models.
I’m not sure why they didn’t make LED standard this day in age on the ‘21 models since the headlights are LED. Even My ‘12 GMC Acadia has LED taillights standard and...
This is strange and you’re correct. I looked at 3 window stickers online for the 2023 models and there’s no mention of it. Also, the fuel mileage rating is one MPG less on the 5.3L motor window stickers I was viewing (showing 15 city, 20 highway…my ‘21 shows 16 city, 21 hwy).
Wonder if they...
That’s a little strange. I don’t have that with my ‘21 Tahoe. When it’s in auto or 4wd I don’t notice any different noises.
Hopefully that other dealer can figure it out.
I don’t have that version of infotainment system but always an easy place to start would be to reset all options to the factory default settings on the unit then see if the option sticks.
I’m not sure if this is possible to do but maybe try turning the Wi-Fi option off completely, then turn...
Sorry to hear that.
I joined the lifter club April of this year and bought mine April ‘21 also, except I had half the miles (9,100 at the time).
No issues since they did the lifter replacement. Currently up to 15,500 miles although they only replaced the affected bank and not all the...
There’s a setting when you go under phones, tap the info button on the one or both of the phones individually where you can turn off an option to connect the other phone via Bluetooth when one is connected via CarPlay.
I think that’s what is happening. Your phone is connected via CarPlay...
I was hit with the lifter issue at 9,100 miles back in April. Downside is they only replaced the affected bank even though while it was in the shop the TSB was updated to relplace all lifters under $16k miles.
You should be fine as yours was built later and you’re up to 30k miles now. My...
I think that’s a new issue I haven’t seen much of on here. I tend to keep an eye on new posts as I’ve got a 21 with 15k miles on it now that was purchased in April 21.
I also haven’t experienced that issue but hopefully they figure it out. That doesn’t sound like a good deal at all.
One more thing to note. If you qualify for a GM Supplier Discount, OnStar does offer discounts as well for that.
I qualify for that and they put me on a deal of $15 for the unlimited hotspot which is nice since I have two kids who like to stream stuff on their tablets in the car (that...
