Not a clue…mine doesn’t do that.
Could be an issue with the hinge or door latch. If it’s not very lubricated, might want to give it a little lubricant and see if the issue goes away.
I was hoping to not become part of the 'bad lifter' club, but I have a pretty good feeling that I just joined it.
My '21 Tahoe, built in March of '21 and I took delivery exactly a week ago and have 9,150 miles on it today has a nasty misfire and throws traction control and other messages up on...
How it works on the Chevy is the part which is stuck on the back of the 3rd row seats will go under the last section that’s Velcro’d.
Thats where my issue lies with it…that last part which is supposed to be fixed that uses Velcro doesn’t stay in place. I’ve tried double sided carpet tape to...
I got the official one from GM as it blends in real good with the interior however in my Tahoe the last section is held on with velcro which fails and causes that section (between the 3rd row seat back and rear hatch) to slide around.
Maybe that last section on the XL model is held on...
If you have the Bose option, on my ‘21 the adjustment is under the audio settings. It’s not called speed compensation but something else in that area settings area…I turned mine off as there was no adjustment for it (was on or off).
My ‘17 GMC Acadia had an adjustment for low, medium, or...
1. Guessing it’s missing the lug nut bar…the other bar should be to lower the spare tire. Course in my case all the stuff is located in the left removable interior panel…I had a flat in under 500 miles and the dealer must’ve put all the stuff back in that corner area (had to look as it was...
Guessing Anker sells a black version of that which you can order on Amazon or other sites. I’ve used Anker branded stuff often and even though it’s on the cheap side it’s usually of better quality than the super cheap stuff you can find on Amazon.
If it needs to do more than just charge...
There’s quite a few discussion threads on here related to it but I believe the bad lifter batch on the TSB was from Oct 2020 to end of March 2021. I don’t believe they’re all bad during that time otherwise they’d probably do a recall.
That date is engine build date which is hard to view but...
I’ve been happy with my ‘21 Tahoe so far. Will have it a year next month and have 8,500 miles on it which are mostly in town. It’s build date is 3/19/2021. I haven’t had it on many longer trips…no warranty issues either.
I’m also overly nervous the thing will leave me stranded on the side...
Same here. The only OTA update I’ve gotten was to fix a recall related to air bags during the summer of last year.
During one of my dealer visits they applied some sort of update to it that wasn’t OTA to fix a black screen issue when cold on the infotainment system although I’ve never...
Any idea on what this noise is? When I stop or let it idle through a drive-thru for example, then come to a stop, about a second after that I'll hear this weird metallic/squeaking type of noise that lasts another second or two. This is easily repeatable by letting it go forward a little more...
That’s strange. The only time I have any CarPlay issues wirelessly is when I’m traveling on rurual areas of Iowa that have powerful WiFi networks setup to get internet to those out in the country. In those areas where there’s large antennas the CarPlay connection will crap out and disconnect...
Here’s a good article that discusses the differences on gas mileage and how ethanol may make engines run a little differently.
https://fueleconomy.gov/feg/ethanol.shtml
Here in iowa it’s hard to find ethanol free gasoline that’s reasonably priced. You’d probably get 5-10% better fuel economy without 10% ethanol and with 15% ethanol up to 5% worse gas mileage compared to E10 (which I’ve kinda confirmed here lately as I’ve been doing some experimentation).
For...
2021 Tahoe 4WD with 5.3 and 8,200 miles.
Best MPG I’ve seen is 22.3 but the wind must’ve been pushing me that day.
I typically drive on town on short trips and average about 12 MPG. When I warm up the car on cold winter days when the temp is near zero that drops down to about 10 MPG.
I spotted this note recently about a squeak, chirp, or clunk.

As someone else here mentioned there is a recall for the driveshaft that affects a small number of vehicles.

I haven’t ran into that issue. Wireless CarPlay uses WiFi in the background in the vehicle. Once you turn off the vehicle and the radio turns off, CarPlay should disconnect. After it disconnects, it should reconnect to your home wifi.
I kinda wonder if the radio isn’t turning off for...
No issues here (yet). Mine was built in March ‘21 and got it in April so it’s about a year old and trailing yours at 8,200 miles.
Aside from a metal rattle when driving on rough roads coming from the area just below the 4WD switch that’s about the only complaint I have about it. Been real...
That’s just weird. I’ve had my ‘21 Premiere for close to a year now and haven’t had that issue.
Wonder if it’s due for a firmware update by the dealer?
