Tires mount&balance = $50
2" torsion key level = $45
Cooper 275x20 t/o's = $120
Alignment Monday = $70+
Then all it needs is 1.5" spacers in back & brakes x4
Replaced the torsion bar keys today. Want to have the new tires put on but it's so expensive, not including the alignment, I will have to call & shop around first. So far I know of a $30 difference in mount/balance & another $30 difference in alignment cost. I still want to raise the back of the...
I got up early and swapped out the modified torsion-bar keys & installed the shock extenders; my truck is leveled now. I called around to get some costs for tire mount & balance...$60-$80 and 1 place will charge extra to remove the 2 wheel locks. i haven't done it this way in a long time but I'm...
I have been through every nook & cranny in that truck. Obviously, finding the key is the single best way to remove the locks. I already dug through the tire remov' tools cubby looking to see what was present/MIA/check the spare tire & ratchet system.
The other 2 wheel locks of the set weren't...
RAaaaHhhhhhhhh
Have literally been waiting all week to install some new junk on my truck and replace some other things but the a$$hole P/O has wheel locks on the front 2 tires & no F'n key for it!! How did I not notice this?? I went around & loosened every lug nut, re-torqued to spec so I know...
The $45 eBay kit already arrived via standard 2-day shipping; the online tracker couldn't even keep up, it got here so fast! Nothing cheap about this gear, though.
It's no $250 maxiCam setup, but it should work. Man I wish I was wealthy. How nice would it be to have 1/4" adjustments (1"-3")...
"Gatillero"
"Los Tigres del Norte"
Haha what does that translate to? the tigers of the north, or something? I wonder if that is an old cartel house band.
You might want to make an examination before the parts @ fault destroy whatever is adjoining; sounds pretty bad.
I have a 4WD too & my truck has done the same thing you have described both times that I have switched into AUtO4wd mode; it doesn't manifest itself in my day-to-day 2WD'ing.
Is...

Or these. How do those little bushings extend the shock...
i wish I could wait. I'm even trying to get some different wheels for the new Coopers but the front tires are completely gone. I have to make some moves but @ least it won't be totally half-a$$ed.
I went ahead & ordered a cheap eBay kit complete with shock extenders.

I really just chose 1 that had the fastest shipping so that it will be here by Friday when I get paid; get some new front brakes, replace the torsion keys, maybe fix my wheels...
That's a good tip. My front end is pretty harsh at the moment so the lift key is really going to make it ride much rougher, I already know. I have those Nivomat self-leveling shocks in the rear. I can put new Bilstein in the front and install extenders in the back. I sent some emails to eBay...
hey, thanks a million for your response.
my take-away from the leveling keys is that some are designed to give lift at their minimum threshold, while others you have to crank-on in order to start getting any lift out of it; some say their leveling kits made the truck ride rougher than hell...
maybe I will have better luck with this thread than my brake pad questions.
I am looking at leveling keys, prices range from $50 up to $250, for basically the same thing.
I say "basically" as they all look the same but the higher end duck head aka proRYDE is sold & installed by garages & shops...
The parking lot is sloping down and your truck is at an angle to your camera shot.
But make no mistake, this black 'Hoe is a beast. It is setup like MF'er as it is. I would like for my Yukon to ride like yours is right now with some pizza cutter 285/295 on 20s.
I need some lift for the...
I will pay you $300 for it next February. I wouldn't mind getting a nice 3" lift @ bargain price, I just have too much on my plate between now and Xmas but if you still possess/want to sell after holidays, I'm your man.
You will not be able to add spacers or anything of that sort. You might be able to swap the 3" extended spindles with those of the 6" lift kit, it's possible somebody has attempted that. I hope you get some first-hand feedback on this!
i can tell you that the geometry of your front suspension...
