    Sponge brakes?

If you wanted to upgrade wheel size you could upgrade to the 2019+ front brakes. If you wanted to of course.

    Rear Brake Upgrade

Not sure if it will work on the 99-13 models https://ctsvbrakeswap.com/collections/gm-truck-suv-kits/products/gm-truck-suv-4-piston-c7-rear-big-brake-bracket-kit The front kit works though...

So are PPV and SSV brake components the same

Well if you drive them hard. Then I must be some mad max style driving. I get 6-8 months out of mine. And that's metal scraping metal.

    22" Recommended Tire Pressure

I run 38 psi cold in my 22's. Best way to know you're running the right psi for your vehicle is to find an empty flat parking lot. Just make sure there aren't a lot of cracks, bumps or pot holes in the ground. Air your tires up to maximum inflation. This should be marked on the side of your...

Do I have to go? I got a new (to me) Silverado.

I'm in Ohio. I have cloth and the All Terrain carbon fiber/leather with red stitching. I upgraded the seats in both my trucks to the heat/cooled leather. So I have 2 sets of seats. my 18 had cloth and jump seat. Now it has full console.

Do I have to go? I got a new (to me) Silverado.

I have not done the trans pan yet. I went straight pipe. And after a encounter with a deer, I upgraded to the 2016 Denali front with a deer slayer to finish it off. upgraded the seats to heated/cooled seats from a 2020 Yukon denali. Added the Denali gauge cluster. Upgraded the radio and hmi...

Do I have to go? I got a new (to me) Silverado.

Having a 2014 myself I will say the things I've changed since I bought it, that have been a improvement 1.Removing the transmission thermal bypass valve. 2. A tune up it was desperately needing 3. Checked and changed the gas pedal to the updated version (this eliminated some surging and pedal...

Do I have to go? I got a new (to me) Silverado.

Yes I have been through the fine print and it's some grey area bs. Lol, the newest truck with the least amount of miles and it has the most oil leaks.

Do I have to go? I got a new (to me) Silverado.

I'm on that forum too, I find if you can weed through the BS and the A-holes sometimes you can find the information you seek. There's also this site for trucks, https://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/forum/169-2014-2019-silverado-sierra/

Small block to big block radiator swap

Personally I would ditch the clutch fan for a twin electric or a solid mount fan.

Do I have to go? I got a new (to me) Silverado.

My 2018 Sierra has unlimited powertrain warranty. I thought that would be great to have. Boy was I wrong, it just means I can't change things like my own fluids ever. And I have to drive an hour to get any of the work done.

If you use the Brave web browser it kills all the adds for every site. Also I have a 14 and an 18 Sierra. I would gladly help anyway I can.

    Useless Information

The engine hrs are stored in the cluster. For sure on the 14+ also whiteautoandmedia.com can reprogram the engine hrs. They offer that when you are getting a cluster programed by them.

Most likely the whole panel. But it will be cheaper to get from a salvage yard.

    New thermostat overheating

Here's a few options. If the thermostat is the issue and you want to run a cooler temp and not have to do ecm tuning. https://katechengines.com/i-30497645-katech-174-degree-gen-5-lt-thermostat.html If you want to get away from this generation of thermostat you can get this housing and run the...

    Shell Rotella 15w-40 motor oil

I'm pretty sure Rotella 15w-40 still has zinc in it. But I definitely agree there's no need to run it in the Tahoe or any modern gas engine for that matter.

    Shell Rotella 15w-40 motor oil

I use it in my 1929 Model A Ford. It's definitely not a winter oil for a tahoe

    Alternative Gas Cap

The vent for the evap system could be plugged. As said above, newer vehicles don't have a cap unless it has the flex fuel option on it. Then it has a yellow cap Like you already have.

Manual transmission swap 03 yukon denali

The NV4500 can for sure handle 400hp. That's what I put in my 91 gmc with 4.88 gears and 37's. If you do go with the NV4500 try and find the one from the mid/ late 90's, they used the same case for the gm and dodge trucks in the mid 90's
