2009 hybrid tahoe w/ 140k miles....... or 2014 tahoe lt w/ 170k miles... which would you take?

Neither... my interest rate nearly doubled the price of the vehicle. I ended up buying a 2005 tahoe, with only 2 owners for $5000. It has been garage kept with original paint and the oil was changed every 2500 miles. Undercarriage is clear of rust and clean. 202k miles and I could eat off of the...

2009 hybrid tahoe w/ 140k miles....... or 2014 tahoe lt w/ 170k miles... which would you take?

Well.. long story short.. back to long.. money is tight and I just had my ancient cats tail amputated because she decided to walk over a candle and burn her tail, which never healed, and turned into necrosis of the tail, which temporarily broke me.. and my truck goes kaboink in the same time...

Lmao when I saw your post, I could feel in my heart that the hybrid was about to take some heat.

Thanks for letting me know about my profile info. I am located in Jacksonville, Florida. That link seems to no longer be available.

Ok i hear you. So the 2009 hybrid doesn't have a gauge for the alternator, it has a gauge that says "economy" with a green zone in the middle. It stays in the green unless I goose it. Does this make any difference?

All opinions much appreciated and thank you for reading this! I am in need of a truck until I can fix my other tahoe, which is proving to be difficult. My dilemma is this: Both the 2014 tahoe LT and the 2009 hybrid tahoe LT run/look good. No rust, frame looks good on both, no engine knocks...

I got it down to the empty line and put half a tank in, gas is kind of pricey, but no change. Cleaning the MAF also had no effect. Misfires are still all on drivers side bank.

I will do that right now. The truck has had a small miss at idle maybe once or twice a red-light. It has been going on for a couple months now, but it's never affected the performance. I am not certain which cylinder it was though.

Thanks in advance for reading! 2008 tahoe 5.3 K1500 190k miles. The truck has no cats, just headers into a single dynaflow. So the 02 sensors are located about a foot or 2 from each other. It has been this way since I bought it a year ago. Put gas in, drove back from lunch break, it was fine...

    2008 tahoe K1500. Throwing P0300(random misfire) and P0174 (lean bank 2).

I just want to follow up, incase someone in the future runs into something similar. So after taking it to a few different places, I decided to have two bungs welded on the drivers side exhaust, and installed the O2 sensors that were hanging. Everything goes back to normal. It only costed me...

I have one scheduled at the chevy dealership around the corner next Tuesday. I'll swap out the TB in the meantime and report back. Thanks for the replies

    2008 tahoe K1500. Throwing P0300(random misfire) and P0174 (lean bank 2).

It was coming from under/around the throttle body. No pinpoint. I should have inspected more

    2008 tahoe K1500. Throwing P0300(random misfire) and P0174 (lean bank 2).

Ok.. so I threw the old coil and wires back on 2 and 8. I unplugged the battery for 10 mins, and touched the terminals together for a few seconds. Cranked it and it still runs bad. Very intense gas smell. I can hear the air not combusting and exiting the exhaust. It doesn't stall though. Idle...

Yeah I can look at the data, I have a cheap scanner that can read live. What would I be looking for as far as fuel trims?

Thanks, I will swap it all back out tomorrow. I'm still just boggled by how the shop resets the throttle in the gizmo gadget, and everything goes haywire. I watched as he pressed the button, "throttle reset" and it all went berserk. If this truck had a tuner (which I suspect) could what he did...

Tomorrow I'm going to pull the spark plug on the 2 and 8, the original culprits throwing codes, see what it looks like.... I've never seen those last 3 codes, those were caused when the shop plugged up the high-tech computer and reset the throttle. Maybe they'll go away? Thanks for the reply

With the misfires before all of this, that originally threw p174 and p0300, the truck still ran good, just had some hiccups every few redlights.. Figured any information helps.

    2008 tahoe K1500. Throwing P0300(random misfire) and P0174 (lean bank 2).

Ok so I had a smoke test done, and saw that the throttle body was leaky, so I replaced it, but it was still feeling the same at idle. Then i took it to a shop to look at the data and they said 2 and 8 were missing pretty bad. I replaced the coil and wire for both of those, cranked it and it...

5.3L 187,000 miles, it's throwing P0300 and P0174. Bank 2 would be passenger side? My thought was to check the spark plugs/coils, am I on the right path? Or is this code normally the fuel pressure regulator? Thanks for any help in advamce.

2008 Tahoe LTZ. No oil. Added 2 quarts, dipstick still doesn't show anything.

Would this cause a clunk, even if it isn't in 4wd? As far as the diff. Yeah, both have play. Should the bolts that touch the axle have a bushing? Or can I just tighten them?

It's hard to hold the phone and push the hog up with one hand, but this is just to give you an idea how much play there is. With two hands, it doubles.
