Really? I wonder why..
It works excellent with turbocharged vehicles. Don't see why it would be bad for a supercharged vehicle.
Do you have a FlexFuel compatible Tahoe?
Thanks for the tip!
After dealing with a dead battery the other day I paid very close attention to the battery gauge yesterday on a 400 mile round trip to San Diego to meet Black Bear Justin. The gauge would fluctuate between 12v and 14v and it was starting to worry me as I thought the battery...
I personally haven't had rotor isues on any of the vehicles I've ever owned either.
Don't see why the thread wouldn't stay peaceful. Just friendly discussion.
Now first I just want to say that this thread is meant to be a friendly discussion.
I understand that everyone has their routines and habits when it comes to servicing their brakes and people should do what makes them comfortable and spend their money how they wish.
I also understand that...
Battery shit the bed on my wife tonight in a gas station parking lot. I had just got home from work and got the call. Drove over and tried to jump it with the Pilot. Wasn't happening. Drove to AutoZone and bought a battery. Then had to go home and get tools before heading back to the gas...
Never came back after that day. Fluid has since been flushed and pads changed all around. Doubt it was brake system related. Thanks for the reply though!
Got the passenger side folding mirror gear done this morning. I had a much easier time with this one. Both mirrors fold flawlessly now. Another thing crossed off the list!
You have to replace the intake manifold? The PCV valve just doesn't pop out or unscrew? Autozone sells a bunch of replacement PCV valves in the HELP! section.
I don't understand why you were twisting and trying the remove the PCV in the first place. There's no need to remove it to install the...
Yeah the PML 10815 looks the most promising so far. I emailed them and they said some people have had good luck with this particular cover, but they don't guarantee fitment and charge a restocking fee if it doesn't fit and I try to return it.
I do have a soft spot for hybrid stuff. Would be cool to swap in some stronger high performance hardware from a different model. Engine, trans, etc..
If I had the money I'd LOVE to do a Duramax swap through Duraburb but that's a pipe dream at this point, LOL
I will definitely look into the qa1...
Thanks for the reply and no worries about the novel. I really appreciate your time and effort.
It just pisses me off that:
A. Nobody makes a 100% guaranteed fitment diff cover with a drain bolt.
B. GM products are built so damn inconsistent that the companies that DO make a diff cover for GM...
Started to work on the folding mirror gears late this afternoon. Took driver side apart first which was pretty easy. Put the new gear on and let plastic weld fully cure. Blasted all moving parts with white lithium grease and got the motor housing reassembled. Put it on the truck for a trial...
Here's a cold start video (with a little rev @ 1:08) for you guys.
I took one from the outside while cruising as well, but too much damn wind noise.
I have to re-do that one.
Enjoy!
