Sorry for the late reply. Just want to thank everyone for their input. What I decided to do was purchase 3M one step primer and 3M Glass urethane Window adhesive. Been holding well and tough as a rock. no alignment issue when closing the hatch either. Hopefully it will stay that way.
I just remembered about 6 years ago the fixed back glass on my Astro AWD busted out. Got an ebay replacement and used this 3M auto glass windshield adhesive for the install. Damn glass never budged again...
Okay I popped my rear glass on my '00 Tahoe and I heard a "tearing" sound now my rear lift gate glass will no longer close. I soon discovered that the upper portion of the hinge that is connected to the glass is held together by some sort of adhesive? Please tell me that GM or someone make an...
Hi all. For the first time I did not use Mobil 1 full synthetic in my oil change routine and switched to Shell Rotella for gas Truck/SUV. I am close to 1k on it and wanted to share some info.
Nothing to earth shattering in regards to mileage, power and what have you. However what I did notice...
Check your fuse to the cigarette lighter. As strange as it sounds I ran into the exact same problem when I went to get my 2000 Tahoe inspected. My truck failed because the inspector could not communicate with the OBD II port. When I got home, I plugged my scanner into the port and got a link...
Mines idle at around 500-550ish rpm as well (I have a 2000). I heard that a few Tahoes idle that low. Not sure why if true. Though I never had any issues it always concerned me.
First off really sorry for the late reply!
Second. Everything is lit up but the center section (where you see the individual LEDs) lights up brighter when you apply the brakes/signal.
I will be looking at some rims soon (no more than 18" my OE's are 16's). With that said I guess I will need to upgrade my spare as well. I was wondering what is the largest tire I can get under my 2000 Tahoe 4x4 and what do you guys/gals do when you run larger tires (20's and up) that you cannot...
Just an update. First SnowDrifter thanks for the help. It was the intake gaskets. Finally got them replaced yesterday (Yeah I know it was a long time since this posting but work has been nonstop!). Old gaskets were hard as rocks providing no sealing. New gaskets solved problem!
Trust me I did not know about it either until after I got my after market tail lights. I had to ask a question on the Amazon forum where I got the lights and was told about the harness for the tail lights. If you look under the bumper directly where the tail lights are at, you will see a wire...
Yes sir that is correct. This is an entire assembly. Just unplug from the harness and plug the new ones in. The funny thing about it is that my new spyder bumper lights were giving me more trouble than these less recognized tail lights. It was truly plug and run.
I know this just may be a coincidence but I started getting a rough idle during cold starts which started smoothing out after my Tahoe warms up. Nothing major, no stalling or anything but every now and again my Tahoe will throw a lean code for both banks as well. This is a rebuilt engine with...
