    Wilwood big brake kit

I have the TX6R kit on my truck. Slotted but not drilled rotors. There was a night and day difference between pedal feel and stopping power going from the stock calipers on my K2XX (17 burb) to the Wilwood kit. Well worth every penny...and all the suffering I went through with brake chatter...

    Cruise Control Issue

I've had the Esky LED tail light sin the truck for 6 years - I did the resistor mod so i don;t have the fast blink issues and the CC has been working since I bought the truck. It quit after the rear end was rebuilt. I was thinking the ABS sensors could be an issue but that is tied into the...

    Cruise Control Issue

Its an LS so all the little do dads that come with the upper models aren't included. No HUD, no heated seats, no memory etc. Auto start does work from my key fob remote I will have to get it scanned. I have the crappy ODBC ones but nothing diabolical unless the HP tuners scanner goes deep.

    Cruise Control Issue

No sense in starting a new thread - I am running into the same issue as OP. Cruise control comes on. but trying to set a speed isn;t working. Yes I know how to use it - been using it since I bought the truck new. No codes on the dash, no SES, no brake light, nada. The little "speedo" pic...

    500+ rwhp out of a 5.3?

I blew up my G80 rear in my 17 Burb and just had it completely rebuilt. Yukon axles, ring/pin, bearings etc with an Eaton Truetrac carrier and replaced the factory 3.08's with 4.10s. Also had the tubes welded for added strength. Its a daily driver with a Whipple, Kooks LTHs, and some other...

Need Advice - 2018 Yukon Denali - needs new engine

That happened to my wife old Buick Enclave. The alternator seized and locked the whole motor up. Lost power to the whole car and couldn;t even put it in nuetral to have towed. They had to "rock a by baby" the car up the flatbed.

6L80 to 10L90 swap? Seeking insight on a 10 speed transmission upgrade

Upgrade your the factory torque converter on the 10 speed. You don't even need to change the factory stall speed...just get a better one. Circle D, Yank, TCI, etc. Been thinking about this myself. But I was also thinking a built 6L80 and a Gear Vendors splitter would set me back about $8k...

    Engine mount

Do it. Mine are installed. There's a slight noticeable difference in how the power responds due to the stiffer bushing. There's also a slight vibration at traffic stop idle but barely noticable. Then again, mine are the 1/2 lowered ones so that might also have made a difference.

Need Advice - 2018 Yukon Denali - needs new engine

For $32,000 you can have that thing shipped to SVE and it will come back with 1000HP supercharged 416 block, an upgraded trans, AND a 3 year warranty. As others have said, it will be more of a pain in the a$$ but I would get that rig towed to an independant shop and get the 6.6 or even a reman...

    Front air dam ??

Looking to do one myself. I was thinking of using my bumper to to make a mold out of cardboard and FG and see if I can design it like the ZL1 or something.

How low can I go? Just ordered tires!

I'm on 305/35/24 with 24x10 +31, dropped 2/4. Front rubs only on lock to lock. If you are dropping for looks, drop spindles are the way to go. If you are lowering for performance reasons, the DO NOT get drop spindles. Look at DJM suspension for lowering front A-arms. Tubular and includes...

Bigger brakes for GMT900 short of a C6 conversion kit?

Much like @j91z28d1 said about his C6, I am autoX'ing\road coursing my Suburban and she wears the Tx6R Wilwood kit up front. There's never any brake fade. It was about $2400 for the front kit but have to say its well worth it. The truck just STOPS. My dad's 2022 Silverado has the 4 pistons...

Just got a tahoe ppv. What do you recommend for shock absorbers?

Have to agree. I have the Belltechs as well. Decide what you want out of the PPV. Its it going to be a pavment pounder or are you planning on going up. Belltech makes adjustable shocks to so you can change the dampening configuration. I should have went that route but didn't.

Replacing 6L80E Transmission - What Torque Converter?

Everythign @Marky Dissod said is correct. The Tune will help. "Flip the Pill" on the hydrostatic valve or bypass it completely - even better. Also there was a bulliten on the transmission lines to have them replaced. Not sure if it will be free but the updated lines are better as to how they...

To good to be true? / Advice

Sounds like you did well. The trans flush now, updated trans lines, and bypass valve are good steps. Consider throwing some money at an aftermarket torque converter. The factory torque converter are known to cause trans issues. A good one from a reputable manufacturer could go a long way in...

Buying a 2020 Yukon with L83 5.3L EcoTec - Should I worry about AFM Lifter Failure

2017 Burb 102k miles. Supercharged , bolt-ons, tuned. Driven like its stolen. Lays down 14 flat at 98mph with 3.08's out back. Oil change every 3k with the GM Dextron 3 or whatever is recommended. No issues.

    14b 9.5" into K2XX

@swathdiver has a list (here: GMT900 Differentials) that lists the 6 Lug 14 bolt 9.5" rears. They are a stout rear. I am searching the web to find out if that rear, lets say out of a 2010 avalanche, will fit into my burb. I remember seeing an Escalade with an Armageddon twin turbo kit and I...

    14b 9.5" into K2XX

OK so my 100k+ Suburban is just starting to experience her first problems. Had the rear diff serviced and chunks of the spider gears were laying in the bottom. Kind of expected with 400hp at the tire and driving her as if she's GM's flagship 2 seater. So before I order a bunch of parts to...

Those Who Moved From an '07-14 to '15+ generation... How Was It?

I concur with @CMoore711 and @pwtr02ss I went from an 08 Avalanche to a 17 Burb. I liked that I got android auto, a nice screen, more features without having to buy and install a Pioneer head unit, like I did for Avy. Ride was more comfortable stock for stock on the Avy vs the Burb. I...
