What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

I've been chasing a "clunk" since picking up my Denali about this time last year. Within the last year, both motor mounts and the transmission mount have been replaced. It's still there on aggressive downshifts, so I'm thinking front differential mounts since it's an AWD. There isn't a ton...

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

I'm aware that there are numerous aftermarket alarm/remote start systems that have the "start from anywhere" ability via smartphone apps. My original question posed was however if anyone was aware of a product that interfaces with the existing factory GM keyless entry/remote start system to...

That route isn't an option. Since pre-'09 didn't come with factory hands free Bluetooth, as many have done, I swapped in a VCIM from an '09+ vehicle to add that functionality. The problem is that the VCIM is also for OnStar, so from the OnStar side they think your vehicle is whatever that VCIM...

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

I live in an apartment complex, so sometimes depending on where I end up parking my remote start may or may not work due to distance. And then at work it definitely doesn't due to distance. I'm not really interested in adding a complete aftermarket alarm/remote start system just to get a...

Yes, that's what I was talking about when I said that after the drainage sits for a while in the bottle it gets noticeably darker. Makes total sense. Total Homer Simpson D'oh moment. I just wasn't thinking about the system correctly. Side, side, side note. I noticed that the drainage...

I'd say my driving is a mix, swaying more towards highway. The 2500 miles since putting the catch can on is compiled of mostly Mon-Fri work commute, 50-60 miles round trip, 95% interstate, and this past weekend about an 800-900 mile round trip road trip. Do you drain yours hot or cold...

2500 miles since installing. Catch can is doing a great job of making coffee/chocolate milk. :waytogo:

All you guys (and gals) out there make sure to keep a check on how many cranks you have left on your batteries. Wouldn't want to get stranded. :Big Laugh:

Everything except the 60 I was able to get at my local Lowes. Lowes didn't carry the 60, unless I ordered a box of 20. My local Home Depot did have 60's, about $9/ea, definitely the most expensive of all the pieces. The other elbows were only like $3.

From what I understand that is exactly what happens when the o-ring fails or is worn.

It sucks that there's so much labor involved in just replacing a $3 O-ring.

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Yeah, I see no reason why it wouldn't. There may be small differences in the length and arrangement. For my '08 Denali it was: Two 4in sections of 3in pipe (to join the elbows) One 45 degree street elbow (connects to MAF) One 60 degree regular elbow One 90 degree street elbow (connects to...

Stock airbox, stock style filter (Purolator I think from Advance Auto), stock inner fender (no cutting to open it up). Only thing I changed was the tube from the throttle body to the MAF sensor. It definitely made a difference. Not like, let's go hunting Corvettes now, LOL, but a noticeable...

    How can I disable...

Yes, the system does need to be pressurized a little when introducing the smoke. Nothing crazy, only like 15-20 psi at most. You could probably accomplish that with just a compressed air tank, an electric pump for like inflating pool floats, or a small air compressor for pumping up tires and...

This, this, THIS. LOL I think one of the big culprits with the whole OMG, AFM is the Devil! thing is the oil. The quality and the frequency of change. The oil life monitor in the DIC was/is designed to calculate the oil life using the factory weight and quality oil, as well as the factory...

The P0455 on my ended up being the purge valve I described above. It's the cheapest part of the system (aside from the gas cap).

    How can I disable...

Last year I chased an EVAP leak. Luckily I had a friend with a smoke machine that I was able to borrow. It ended up being the purge valve up on the driver side under the hood just behind the alternator. When it was "closed" it was still letting vapor by. So when the PCM was...

It isn't pretty, but it works. Like I said, I didn't get the adjustment exactly like I would have preferred due to being in a rush because of a rain shower. The more I think about it, I'm not even sure I'll spend the time/money to paint or coat it since that doesn't impact the functionality...

Got the "ghetto fab 3000" PVC intake tube done and installed today. It isn't as refined as I'd like. I didn't get the angles just right before I glued it all together. I tend to be a little OC, so I'm not thrilled with fitment, but it had started drizzling rain when I was doing my dry test...

I'm with you on the over-tightening tendancy too. Me - Snugs it up Other me - What if that isn't tight enough, you don't want that working it's way loose. Me - Gives it another double grunt turn Bolt - SNAP F^&*^*K LOL
