I'm sorry I guess I wasn't clear, I mentioned the 35s because the only 6x139 wheels I'm seeing up for resale are TRX wheels that still have the oem 35s installed which I would love to run, but that's a no go.
From what I've been reading we can fit 17s over the brakes. I would love to step up to a 35 but that's impossible without a significant lift and some trimming. As much as the wife likes bouncing around on the trails a bit, the thought of cutting up a new truck sends her into a panic attack. I've...
Personally I like to take the kids out and wander the deserts and hills around here off and on when I can and I run her in 2H for pretty much everything, rocky hills may call for 4H, but when the rocks consistently get bigger than softball size or the grade gets steeper than about 20° I switch...
I'm just wondering if anybody has swapped oem wheels from another model/brand and what if any fitment issues have they run into. I really want to step down to an 18" wheel and dump these 20" boat anchors, but the wife saw the price tag on the wheel and tire package I was looking at and about had...
60 sidewall being a ratio of the tread width means you've got a taller sidewall/tire overall as well, roughly 0.5" taller. I've been eyeballing some 34s so this is encouraging. Just a sneeze away from a 35 but it's close enough.
Held liable by whom? If it's your vehicle and you are the one injured I can't imagine a single governing body that would have legal latitude to come after you.
Awesome, I knew somebody out there had to be more customer oriented in the suspension world...I assume most of us don't know squat about valving shocks.
I'm still a noob on suspension but I worked in transmissions for years, the number one thing I told customers is to add an aftermarket cooler if you're planning on doing any towing at all. They aren't very expensive and they'll pay for themselves many times over in the long run.
Utah? Man I need to get out more...good to know on the IRS suspension parts, I thought we were stuck with the light duty/generic stuff. At this point I'm just building a parts list, I've got a couple years before our youngest is ready for real off-roading without turning into a bobble head so no...
I just stared at him and explained the size and weight difference better the stock tires and 35s especially when you step down from a 20 to a 17 and he essentially informed me that he doesn't know what size tires come on the truck but he knows for a fact that "big boy 35s" have broken...
I haven't done it yet myself but I'd assume a 2.5" lift plus a set of Westcott fever pullback brackets would give you enough clearance from what I'm reading around here.
Btw regarding the Silverado LT suspension kits, we run IRS so to my knowledge Silverado rear suspension isn't compatible with our platform. Have you found something showing otherwise?
Damn that looks good...looks like Southern California in the background there. How much did the Kings run you? We're they Tahoe/Suburban specific or Silverado shocks?
