The helper bags ride a little stiff if you're not towing and have more than about 8 lbs of air in them but are still a life saver when you have something heavy behind you.
My tires are 295/30R26 and the only thing that the tire gets close to is that washer fluid tank. I moved it up a little so I have no issues. I also heated up the plastic fender wells and molded them with a rubber mallet for extra clearance.
I manage a window tinting shop in Seattle and have been tinting windows for almost 10 years. I tint roughly 20 cars a week and I tint probably 6 full windshields a week and most are 50% but customers want 80%. Most windshields and front side windows are already tinted about 73% but that's just a...
That looks great! A 2/3 would deffinetly not be too low and the truck would still ride great, if not better. You wouldnt have any trouble rubbing. I do have a 2.5" rear drop for sale that consists of rear springs and shock extenders that would level the rear to the front. Are they 26's?
Thanks. No spare because the truck has 26s on it now and the truck wouldn't drive right and something would probably break if I put a factory sized spare in place of at 33 inch tall wheel
I removed the resonator, and re-routed the exhaust where the spare tire used to be and had it exit under the hitch.. Here's a pic of it before the truck's second build
I tow my little camper or 18' boat easily with a 3/5 drop and 26's. If we go on a longer trip, i'll throw my 22's on, but the truck handles just fine either way and my tires still wear evenly. I have helper bags inside the rear coils to help level out the truck and that makes a huge difference.
I've got a guy that has lowering springs for the rear (not installed) and wants to to lower the front 1 or 2 inches. Would you suggest he just buys lowering springs or use the factory springs and buy adjustable shocks?
Finally bought a gloss black Yakima Skybox. I couldn't leave it alone and ended up wrapping it to match the Tahoe..I had opne of my guys at our shop wrap the truck with Xpel Ulitmate paint protection film. Looks flawless. Now it's in full winter mode.
Your truck is cool! I'd totally vote for yours when it's up again. Check out the pics of both builds mine has been through. I can't even list everything that has been done. It's been at SEMA with both looks it's had. It's constantly changing.
Took a weekend road trip with the family over to Leavenworth. We hit lots of snow through the mountains and found a few picture opportunities and thought I'd share.
