New style VS old style PCV?

Apparently there is an old style PCV and a new style… Does anyone know which one is which? I think the one with the small hole is the old style… but, can someone confirm?

Anybody running Power Stop brake calipers?

Reading some reviews on the Power Stop SP4918 brake calipers, which come "powder coated" red... Several people show photos suggesting that they are not powder coated at all, but rather merely painted... and flaking after a year's time. One individual showed a sticking caliper after one winter...

    Are PPV brakes better?

18R2246 OR 18R2246PV ? Do PPV brake calipers provide better stopping power? Same piston size? And I know PPV brake pads are different, but are they interchangeable with regular pads?

07+ Brake upgrade on a 00-06 NBS, is it worth it?

Thanks! Although I'm very familiar with that thread, and was about to pull the trigger to order all the parts, but I'm in CA... so, parts here are like twice the cost of anywhere else. Meaning, I'd need to order from an out of state dealership, which adds another $150 in shipping cost. That's...

Early Gen Tahoe brake calipers VS Later Gen Tahoe brake calipers?

Does anyone know the difference between NNBS brake calipers (part# 18FR2246) vs the NNBS brake calipers (part# 18FR2660)? The older 18FR2246 calipers only came on 2007-2008 NNBS trucks/suvs, but the newer 18FR2660 came on 2009-2013, and even up to 2019 on the Tahoe. I pretty sure these will...

07+ Brake upgrade on a 00-06 NBS, is it worth it?

Wondering if anyone here who upgraded to the NNBS brakes, recently went further to upgrade to the 2019+ Silverado brakes? And can compare? Are they that much better than the NNBS brakes? You can get NBS brakes and rotors nowadays for under $200, while the 2019+ Silverado setup would run close...

Can I wire in dash cam from double power source?

Good call. I was thinking 10 amp fuses since my fuse block tap pigtails have a built in fuse slot, and was concerned that one of the positions on the switch is rated for only 6 amps, but I’ll swap those out for 5 amp instead. Would that be okay?

Can I wire in dash cam from double power source?

@Doubeleive How would I wire that up in the fuse box?? The three position switch has three terminal pins. So, accessory power to one pin, constant power to another terminal pin… Dash cam positive to the middle pin?

Can I wire in dash cam from double power source?

Hmm indeed, wow ya that is a much better plan. I was going to repurpose the switch I had already installed for a different reason, which is just an on/off switch… Although, installing a three position switch makes much more sense, doh! I guess ideally I wanted the accessory power to be...

Can I wire in dash cam from double power source?

Ahh okay, could I place a diode on each line before the merge just to be sure there’s no backfeed to either fuse?

Can I wire in dash cam from double power source?

I’d like the dash cam to turn on automatically when I turn the key to ON, but would also like to be able to turn on the cam with the key out, using a rocker switched I installed. My question is: could I tap into two different fuse locations in the fuse block, and wire them in tandem to the same...

Which safe/stronger? Longer studs or hub adapters?

I’d like to throw on some 12mm or 15mm wheel spacers, and was going to install some appropriately longer studs to retain the same amount of threading on the lug nuts… Is this safer/stronger than hub adapters? I just don’t want my wheels popping out too far, given that hub adapters come in much...

4 Piston Big Brake Upgrade from 2019-20

Does anyone know the part number for the Goodridge stainless steel brake lines that will fit this mod? Would it just be the ones that fit the 2019+ Silverado? Or the ones for our NBS trucks?

    front jounce bumpers

Hey have you considered doing something for the rear? Btw I found these control arm bumpers, which appear to be taller than the stock ones, but seems like they still wouldn’t come as close as your setup with the Energy Suspension mod. I’ll probably install these with my Bilsteins and 2.5”...

    2019+ Silverado caliper substitute??

Even more confusing, on some other forums there are people doing this swap using the same rotors, but caliper parts numbers 13530411 and 13530412, which apparently also came on 2019 and 2020 Silverado/Sierra ?? But I guess this one is an earlier version as well, since it is discontinued, and...

    2019+ Silverado caliper substitute??

And according to GMPartsAmerica... 13545382 replaces 13536579, and 13536583 replaces 13536580... So, are these the next iteration of these big calipers? Are they improved in any way? Is that why the original ones were discontinued so quickly? The really good news is that these are plentiful...

    2019+ Silverado caliper substitute??

Does anyone know the difference between the 2019+ calipers (part# 13536580 and 13536579) commonly talked about on this forum, and the ones recommended by Summit Racing as "similar substitute parts??" I'm in the process of sourcing all of the parts for the 2019+ Silverado big brake upgrade, and...

Will be doing the '19-'21 Big brake upgrade on my '00 Tahoe.

Btw I believe the part number for the 1.33" master cylinder from the NBS Escalade is NM4074 (if RPO code JL4 not present), and NM4074A (if RPO code JL4 is present). I'd have done all this already if I could get my hands on the calipers :p

Will be doing the '19-'21 Big brake upgrade on my '00 Tahoe.

Wondering if anyone who has done this big brake swap, also did the Hydroboost AND the bigger master cylinder upgrade? As a comparison... The stock squishy brakes on the NBS 1500 came with a 1.125" master cylinder and vacuum brakes to push 8 brake pistons (4 front and 4 rear), while the NBS...

    Stabilitrak retrofit?

Wondering if anyone knows what it would take to retrofit Stabilitrak into an NBS truck? And also, given that Stabilitrak uses the brakes to do it's thing, would it be affected by upgrading the brakes to NNBS or T1 front calipers/rotors? Would it even be worth it? Has anyone been in a scenario...

Best way to achieve 4” lift?

Right on, thanks. Although, that is a 6" lift, and I didn't want to go that high. It baffles me that there are literally no other options for lift kits out there. Well, that sux, but... c'est la vie.

Best way to achieve 4” lift?

Or better question… How to achieve 4” front lift on NBS 4x4 with torsion bars? Torsion keys only go up to 3”, and seems the only lift spindles available out there are for 2WD only? The Bilstein 5100 options seem to only be designed for either 2”-2.5” front lift / 1” rear lift or 4” front lift...

    Declining MPG

In addition to what everyone else said, have you checked if my maybe one of your brake calipers isn’t sticking… Are all of the rotors equally warm after a drive?
