Tires, lifts, spacers, and the combination

I may try these first then, if they give a smoother ride. If they will lift it 2" to level it may work out. If not I may just have to switch it to the Ford keys. I'm assuming 3" is probably the max you would want to go before it causes problems with the drive line as well. That's the way it was...

Tires, lifts, spacers, and the combination

Wow, my 3" keys may not be enough then, considering my stocks are maxed out and I'm 2" low still. So the Ford keys give more height then the 3" lift keys, I didn't know that. I may need to send them back and go the Ford route.

Tires, lifts, spacers, and the combination

Oddly my front seems to be in about 1/2 to 3/4" compared to the back. Not sure why. It's not very noticeable, but if you really look you can see it. I assumed that's the way they all were. Maybe it has something to do with my front suspension. I don't mind trimming wheel studs, but it would...

Tires, lifts, spacers, and the combination

Ah, if the front can handle a 2-in spacer, then I guess that would just keep the stock tracking if the rear needed a 2-in also. That wouldn't be bad. Of course I'll try to keep them in as much as I can, I prefer not to run very big spacers, but whatever the spacing needs to be, as long as they...

Tires, lifts, spacers, and the combination

That's great to hear, maybe this won't need as much of adjustment as I was thinking. The new ones I'm getting will be 33's, so that will help some also, dropping two inches down from the 35. I'm really hoping the rear won't need big spacers, the back tires already track wider than the front...

Getting rid of dead mouse smell?

Thanks! The ozone machine is similar to what the detail shop did I think. I haven't heard of the Pooft from Amazon, I'll check it out also. I thought about replacing carpet, it may come down to that. Adding insulation when going back is a pretty good idea, I'll probably do that if it comes...

Tires, lifts, spacers, and the combination

Where does the rubbing happen on the rear? Is it mostly because of height, or because of width? I'll be going down an inch, but out width-ways an inch compared to yours, so it may give some idea of what I'll run into. I was confused because I keep seeing people say "the tire was really wide...

Getting rid of dead mouse smell?

I wasn't able to see in the front half of the headliner, I may need to drop it down up there also. The smell doesn't seem concentrated there, but it may just not make it through in one spot I didn't know black light showed urine marks, I'll try that

Getting rid of dead mouse smell?

I'll check it out, thanks! I'm not sure what is still smelling, but maybe that will kill it

Getting rid of dead mouse smell?

Hello everyone, got a nice '02 Z71 I found and bought. Guy said it stinks a bit because a mouse died in it and he doesn't know where it is. So I took it home and tracked the smell to the cargo area near the rear ac. Disassembled the AC, nothing. Looked in the little rear frame pillar and found...

Tires, lifts, spacers, and the combination

Good points. I may just have to get as close as I can guesstimate with the old tire by messing with it some, order an adapter, and actually mount and try it. If it works, order the rest. If it doesn't, hopefully I would be able to tell what I needed to correct it from that. On the black Tahoe...

Tires, lifts, spacers, and the combination

This photo below is pretty much exactly what I'm shooting for. Those have got to be 12.50 wide for sure, and running stock wheels. It's a shame that I don't know whose it is to ask what they had to do as far as spacing and all that. I had an idea, I may take one of my wheels and tire off, and...

Tires, lifts, spacers, and the combination

The stock keys are maxed out, and the front is still 2" lower unfortunately. So the torsion bars may just be worn out. I ordered the aftermarket keys, so I guess I'll see how it rides with those, hopefully I don't end up having to replace the bars. I just really like the 33x12.50 because it...

Tires, lifts, spacers, and the combination

I forgot to mention, I ordered aftermarket keys as well. So I will be running a similar setup to what he has, except I will not be cranking them up as high since I'm not lifting the back as well. I will just raise the front up to be level with the stock rear. As far as clearing width goes, the...

Tires, lifts, spacers, and the combination

2002 Z71 4x4 Tahoe. Wanting to run 33x12.50, with a level. I'm not trying to crank the keys way up, just enough to bring it level with the back. I have stock wheels, so some spacers may be required. This guy is running 12.50's on the same rims but has 2" spacers on the back. Does anyone...

How to keep evap system from failing?

Well I got pretty busy and haven't been back to this thread in a while. But I was messing with my mini shop vac the other day and took the top off to clean the filter, and noticed it has a little dust bag filter with an elastic band on top. So this gave me an idea. I went and bought a...

How to keep evap system from failing?

So the filter is a different thing than the canister? Because mine has two separate things I think, the big box canister, and then the circular solenoid thing. The '05 is at my sister's house right now, I'll run by and get the code out of it tomorrow. If the solenoid getting dirty is what's...

How to keep evap system from failing?

Great, from what I've seen online the solenoid seems pretty quick and simple to replace. That will probably fix the engine light on the '05. I'll check out the video about the system. Is there a way to protect this from future failure in the dust?

How to keep evap system from failing?

Hello everyone, got a new '02 Tahoe here. I live down a dirt road, and my '05 Tahoe and 2011 Sierra already can't take fuel because of a screwed up evap system. From what I read, dust gets in some part of the system and ruins it and it will just constantly do this and you have to keep replacing...

Cloth options in the '02 Tahoe?

That's what I was assuming, that they would be different, but I could be wrong. They might actually bolt up. I have a cloth Silverado, but it's a 2011 So it's probably a lot different. I think the seat attaches to the back wall on that one

Cloth options in the '02 Tahoe?

I thought about Silverado seats, but then I wouldn't have the back seats. I could leave those leather I guess, no body sits back there anyway, and they would be easy to clean.

Cloth options in the '02 Tahoe?

I think I seen the thread of getting power seats to work, he spliced a couple wires and it had power again. Not sure if the passenger seat did, but I remember the drivers seat worked in it. I'll look into the foam, that may be an option as well. Yep, leather is way to hot in the summer in...

Cloth options in the '02 Tahoe?

Another post messing around with the new-to-me Tahoe. 2002 Z71, leather interior. Did any 2002 cloth Tahoes have power passenger seats? Or was that only an option if you got a leather? I really like the cloth seats in my '05 Tahoe, but the passenger is not power, and the '02 leather passenger...

    '02 Tahoe radio recommendations?

'02 is 1.5 din unfortunately. That's pretty nice that you found one that fits without cutting. My '05 doesn't have a volume knob and it's kind of annoying, so I will probably stick to one that has the knob. Yours has a really nice fit though, that's a pretty clean looking install. I'm guessing...
