    Timing chain set

Ok thanks!! Yeah I don’t like sketchy so I’ll probably just step it up a little . Maybe I’ll get really lucky and I won’t have to at all. Be nice to not have to spring for new pistons but I’ll most likely have to.

    Timing chain set

The engine has 240k miles on it. Already have new BTR valve train and truck norris cam. Didn’t want to go buy another motor not knowing the condition of that one. If I rebuild mine I know what i have and the satisfaction of the process .

    Timing chain set

Yes. Full rebuild. There is a strong possibility that I will have to go oversize on the bore. Haven’t pulled the motor yet. Can anyone chime in if I can go up to the 6.2 pistons and not change the heads? Currently a stock LQ4.

    Timing chain set

Replacing the timing chain set on my 2003 Yukon with the LQ4. Is it just a 1 pole reluctor?

    L86

Morning all! I came across the opportunity to buy an L86 with the 8l90 transmission for 3500$ and I have a wild idea of looking into what it would take to put it into my 03’ Yukon. Can it be done? Is there any drastic changes needed to be done? Is it worth the headache?

    Electric Fan assembly

Hi all, just wondering if the electric fan assembly from 06’ years extends into the 07-13 years? Or did they change the setup?

    Heater core.

Ok good to know! Thanks! I’ll do some checking. I’ve only had the vehicle for 7ish years or so. 230k miles on it.

    Heater core.

It’s an 03’ 6.0. I haven’t done any other work to the cooling system aside from the water pump. It had this issue even before I did the work so I was hoping that the new thermostat that came with the new pump would fix the issue. Maybe it’s just a case of it is what it is?

    Heater core.

Hey all, apologies if this is a stupid question but it’s that time of year that it’s damn cold here in my part of Canada and my Yukon doesn’t seem to warm up. It could idle all day long and only get a quarter of the way to normal temp on the gauge. Interior temp also lacks until it’s driven for...

Engine dropping in RPM and stalling

Just had this exact issue happen to me tonight. Went to the store and on the way home it stalled when I let off the gas to come to a stop. Starts back up with no issues but seemed like it was struggling to idle normally.

4 Piston Big Brake Upgrade from 2019-20

I just recently checked junkyards for ***** n giggles and there is a LOT of 2020+ donor vehicles out there. I’ve had my Yukon done for about a year now and I love it! Definitely the best bang for the $. IMO.

Ok! Thanks for the info my man!

    LQ4 rebuild

The motor actually runs pretty good but the whole drivetrain has 200k miles on it so at some point it has to be done. The trans. Is getting pretty lazy in the shifting department.

    LQ4 rebuild

Sorry, yeah my question was pretty vague. It’s just a daily driver. No towing. Little bit of action but nothing serious. Not sure of the gearing.

    LQ4 rebuild

Hi all, I’m going to be rebuilding my engine in the near future and I’m considering putting a mild cam in it. Any tips on brand or type? Also need some tips on tuning it afterwards.

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

I gave the Yukon a little upgrade last night. Think it looks pretty good . Put in an Escalade steering wheel and a shift lever from a 2012 Tahoe.

    Puddle light type.

Hi all, I apologize if this question has been asked a million times before but what is the bulb type for the puddle lights in the bottom of the mirrors? Want to replace with LEDs. Also, are they the same type as the interior dome light bulbs?

    Heated seat not working

Hi all, just wondering if there is usually something that fails before the seat elements? The seats in my Yukon haven’t worked for a while now and I want to dive into the problem. They did work, then worked for short time periods then not at all. Right now if I hit the button the lights come on...
