Drivers mirror doesn't fold as far in as passenger mirror

My Tahoe is like that too. I replaced almost every moving part in the mirror to try and correct it, and nothing worked. I think that may be how some of them are. Still functions fine.

Need help with prolonged cold start...

Thanks guys. Ordered the new pump from RockAuto for $200 (Delco) and my mechanic will put it in next week for $260. Not the cheapest repair but definitely could be worse.

Need help with prolonged cold start...

Well I crawled under the car and saw fuel dripping all under the gas tank... no need to even look on top. I guess it's just a coincidence that this happens when I change the sparkplugs...

Need help with prolonged cold start...

So I replaced my sparkplugs last weekend, didn't have any problems or notice any issues. Since that time, when cold, the truck cranks for about 5 seconds before starting. If I leave it in "ACC" for a few seconds the fuel primes and starts normally; it also doesn't have any issues starting when...

    #8 spark plug

Did all my plugs today, for the first time, in about 2 hours. I used the 3/4" extension that was recommended -- still wasn't easy, but not terrible.

Part # for wheel liner bolts?

Hey guys, My Tahoe came missing some of the 7mm wheel liner bolts. No big deal I thought - found some replacements on eBay, but they started rusting after 2 days (while the original 12 year old GM parts are still black). Any idea what the part # for these are? Thanks, Cyrus

    New-to-me Tahoe w/ 150k miles - maintenance?

Hey guys, I bought an ‘07 Hoe a few months back and well... I love it. Planned to just keep it through the winter but plans have changed and I’m going to keep it long term. The first owner had the car to 120k miles and took great care of her (Amsoil everything, great preventative care). The...

    Denali Airbag/Steering Wheel Emblem

It is WELL worth it to pull the airbag and out the emblem in the right way. It takes 20 minutes total even for a first timer. I tried the “shortcut” method of replacing the emblem with the airbag in and it ended up looking horrible. I had to redo it since I messed the new emblem up so bad...

Rear wiper and rear defroster not working... any connection?

Just to close the loop, it was the wiper motor. Replaced it and now I have a working wiper (turns out to be very useful in the rain). I'll get to the defroster next winter probably haha. Cyrus

Rear wiper and rear defroster not working... any connection?

I greatly appreciate the help fellas. I checked the hatch wiring again and I have no frayed wires. When I turn on the rear wiper, I will intermittently hear some noise from the wiper motor (like it's stuck) but there is no movement at all. Sometimes no noise at all. Broken gear in the motor...

Rear wiper and rear defroster not working... any connection?

Hey guys, So my rear wiper doesn’t work (you can hear the motor clicking but the arm never moves) and my rear defroster isn’t working. Any possible connection to the two? I’ve checked some fuses, all seem ok. I checked the wiring to the hatch, no burns/frays. The defroster tabs are still...

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Tool man, you are 100% right. In fact I know I am pretty lucky only running about $1k in small repairs on a 150k mile truck. I am lucky the previous owners took good care of her, evident by the Amsoil stickers.

    2020 Looks more like the 07 - 13 than the 2015 -19 :^)

Most of the automotive journals are saying it's (the 2500 above) one of the ugliest trucks ever made. Sadly I have to agree. Hopefully they hear the critics before production! The Tahoe on the other hand is looking great! I hope they go away from this trendy "split-design" headlight assembly...

    2007 4WD for 12k Buy or not? 115K LT1

Great job passing on that POS. I just bought an '07 LT3 4X4 for $10k with 148k miles on it... so better deals are out there. A little rough on the cosmetic side (dents, torn armrest, dirty carpets), but mechanically it was maintained very well (obvious my the Amsoil stickers and maintenance he...

    Refurbish Interior Cost? (2012 Suburban)

Just FYI... the new dash will be made of the exact same materials as your old one. What that means is that it too will crack with enough time. I would just buy the $140 plastic dash cap sold on EBay and keep the extra $860 for other repairs. I would budget $1500 for seats and $200 to clean the...
