also keep in mind that the 5.3 doesnt need a big cam for an off the shelf cam I recommend not going higher than a 223 cam ... Alot of people go to big of a cam on these motors and wonder why they dont run as good... Maybe something like around a 221/223 .56x/.57x 113+1 lsa .... but hey to each...- ateurzo6

yes ive done a few cam swaps on DoD cars you have to change out the lifters and valley pan . And diff cam sprocket . pretty common cam conversion now . Comp is trying to design a cam that will still work with the DOD but it has not been released . DOD really isnt to much of a gain , I usually...- ateurzo6
