Bit the bullet and bought a 2015 Escalade ESV - Now I have a bunch of quesions?

As I alluded to in the previous post, I am worried based on your information, mine may not be an 8 speed transmission. This despite the ad from this dealer claiming the one I bought had an 8 speed transmission. The salesman said as much also. My manufacture date on the inner door sill (so low...

Bit the bullet and bought a 2015 Escalade ESV - Now I have a bunch of quesions?

I will try your suggestion on the shifting (6 vs 8), however the next posters comment has me worried. In regard to the battery, there is a cover over the section closest to the engine, but it has a multitude of individual cables attached to bolts which seem to feed into another cable going...

    Weathertech vs Husky Weatherbeater

I just put my 2007 full size Husky cargo liner from my 2007 Suburban in the back of my 2015 Escalade ESV over the top of the folded 3rd row seats. It is not a perfect fit but it is darn close. Like your experience, when When I raise the 3rd row seats, the cargo liner stays in place pretty well...

    Best cargo area liner

As an FYI, in another thread a poster said he put a full size cargo liner in over the 3rd row folded seats. He said he could raise the seats and the liner stayed in place. I thought that was a novel idea, so when I just picked up a 2015 Escalade ESV, I took the Husky full size liner out of my...

What tires did you switch to?

Good thread topic as I will need to replace the 285/45/R22 Bridgestones on my 2015 Escalade ESV soon, and was wondering the same thing. Needless to say here in FL, I do not have to deal with snow, and am looking for good road tires with traction and a smooth/quiet ride?

Bit the bullet and bought a 2015 Escalade ESV - Now I have a bunch of quesions?

I was leaning toward a Denali XL, but had a deal too good to pass up on a 2015 ESV. I was under the impression that a Luxury edition had most of the options, but my knowledge of when certain options became available is lacking. 1) One thing I am not sure about is whether it has an 8 speed...

Hello and welcome. What "ride quality issue are you referring to, as it should have the magnetic suspension which by my account is great for a SUV.

    Weathertech vs Husky Weatherbeater

I see what you mean. The ones under the second row seats that go back toward the 3rd row are longer/different for the Tahoe, Yukon or Escalade, than the Sub, Yukon Xl or Escalade ESV. I wonder why, as the longer ones could benefit from the added protection. Makes me wonder if the dimensions are...

    Weathertech vs Husky Weatherbeater

Ok, now I see that you have the full size cargo liner(presumably XL size?) up on the back of the 3rd row seats. Looking at the ads of Amazon, I do not see what you have in the 2nd picture, that being full coverage going up from the 2nd row from the footwell to up under the 3rd row. The ad...

    Weathertech vs Husky Weatherbeater

I hate to say it, but the 1st, 3rd, 4th and 6th pictures did not come out.

    Weathertech vs Husky Weatherbeater

These look like what I was asking about regarding the ability to protect the carpet between the footwell to under the 3rd row seating area. How far under the 3rd row do they go back? Also, did you get the cargo area mat, and how does it work with the incline the Subs, XL's & ESV's have? TIA

So when you raise up your 3rd row seats, the mat folds and does not flop over into the cargo area?

    2015 2nd Row Seat Swap...

I agree, as I have an '07 LS with three bench seats that has a genuine 9 seat capacity. Granted the one in front can only fit a small child, but I have used it a few times when we had that many people, or the rear seat was out and we had 6 to transport. So if I can find the right used Sub...

Denali clunking in steering wheel CONTINUED, Changeover to non power steering column

I hate to say this since I am in the market for a '15+ used Denali or Escalade, but shouldn't a $70-$80k SUV not have these type of problems? I mean between the complaints of wind noise/buffeting, and now this, it is enough to give me pause. It also reminds me of the cracked dash issue of the...

    Husky Liners X-ACT CONTOUR

I have the Husky liners in my 2007 Sub and they are great. The one in the cargo area has saved me several times from spills of chlorine without a single spot hitting the carpet. I really like the high lip of it. That said, I am looking into getting a '15+ Sub, Yukon Denali XL or Escalade ESV...

Prices - Trade in, Sell or Keep - Tahoe LTZ / Denali

Ok, thanks. Now I know what it is, and had an Escalade on the highway the other day with his high beams on in traffic. I guess it was not working too well that night, because people were honking and flashing him to no avail.

Any major issues with 2015+ Tahoe models’

Well is the 8 speed something to avoid, and of so why? Also, I suspect you do not mean to say it is possible to get a 10 speed in the 15 or 16 model years?

Prices - Trade in, Sell or Keep - Tahoe LTZ / Denali

I am not sure what intellibeam is, but it does not sound like something worth bumping up to a '16 (with the added costs). The lane assist is something I'd probably prefer not to have, and the apple CarPlay is likely not something I'd need or want either. However thanks for listing those...

Prices - Trade in, Sell or Keep - Tahoe LTZ / Denali

I have always owned Suburban's and never considered Yukon XL's. However, I am looking to get into the newer model ( price wise will be more comfortable in a 2015), and am seriously considering spending the extra money it will take to get into a Denali XL. I do tow, as well as go on long distance...

Canvasback Cargo Liners (For The Back Of Your Seats)

Actually from my perspective you should be happy your dogs hair color sticks out from the interior color, thus it is easier to be able to get it all out. If it blended in, you'd be leaving more hair and smell in there. As to the setup, if I buy a 15 Sub, Yukon XL Denali or Escalade, I will...

Used 2015/2016 Escalade ESV vs. Yukon XL Denali - which to buy & why?

Are there any features or changes that make the 2016's a better choice than the 2015's? I ask because the 16's are obviously going to be newer & have less miles, therefore more expensive in many cases (for the same features).
