    S10 body bushings

I wouldn't expect the ride to change just the vibrations and harshness from the frame to body more easily transmitted to the occupants. I am mainly interested in poly bushings because they might be easier to find but I guess LMC would have stock rubber bushings available. Because I really want...

Worth it to go from 3.73 to 4.11

I might even try that myself with my Titan 18s after the motor goes in. Just a super cheap way to see if the swap from 3.73s to 4.11 gears is really worth it.

Worth it to go from 3.73 to 4.11

What's your overall tire diameter? Because when I went from 32" tall tires on 24s to 28" tall tires on 20s and just the tire diameter change was nice. I doubt you could make that kind of change but making the change to your front and rear diffs would be extremely expensive unless you do the work...

Worth it to go from 3.73 to 4.11

Well my Trailblazer lives on M&H 325/45/17 with stock 4.11 gears in the 14 bolt and I relentlessly beat on it and it makes 200hp more than what I expect from the iron LS2 going in my Yukon and it will never see a tire as sticky. Once I swap the converter in my Trailblazer I'm expecting low 1.5...

    S10 body bushings

I read it but there were any pictures in that thread and any feedback other than people saying the poly squeaked unless you really add grease to it. So I was curious to see before and after photos and feedback from anyone that ran poly bushings and how they have held up or started squeaking...

Worth it to go from 3.73 to 4.11

Well I have a Trailblazer SS which came from the factory with 4.11 gears and a LS2. While the Yukon will be no where near as rowdy as my Trailblazer is now with it's 11.8 CR 416ci LS3 but my goal with my Yukon has been to build my Yukon how GM would have if a SS version had been made. That being...

Worth it to go from 3.73 to 4.11

I am swapping a LQ9 in my Yukon with worked 243 heads and ported Fast 102 with headers and BTR Stage 3 truck cam. I have a Yank SS3600 converter and 4.11 gears and Auburn diff. My question is will the SS3600 too much converter for the Yukon or should I send it back to Yank to have the stall...

    S10 body bushings

Does anyone have any feedback on S10 body mounts on their full-size SUV? Is going with rubber or poly better and how so? Does anyone have any before and after photos? Is the swap really noticeable? My truck is lowered with Viking coilovers and spindles with DJM hardware kit and Belltech 5305...

I have a suspension, wheel, and brake question

And those brakes are WAY bigger than what came on your truck. If some brackets can be made that make it possible for people to upgrade from 2 piston calipers to 6 piston calipers there's nothing wrong with it. By the way I'm not messing around with my life by the looks of it.......

I have a suspension, wheel, and brake question

A Cayenne isn't a big SUV? 5000 lbs and the Yukon is around 5400 lbs. 2 passengers in a Cayenne and you have similar curb weight to a Yukon. The Cayenne has 6 piston front Brembo calipers and 4 piston rear Brembo calipers. Do you think the Cayenne and Q7 calipers are better equipped than C6Z...

    Torsion to coilover

Unfortunately I can't seem to help myself with suspension expenditures. I bagged a Duramax dually, the 5 or 6 different times I lowered my wife's Yukon XL with 14" SSBC brakes, I think I have every tubular piece available on my Trailblazer SS and coilovers front and rear with bags on the rear...

I have a suspension, wheel, and brake question

    Torsion to coilover

I got Belltech spindles, DJM rear hardware, adjustable panhard bar, Belltech 5305 coils, helper bags, Richard Wayne's Viking coilover setup. First go around I ordered Belltech Street shocks, I forget the exact name but they are silver. I almost hate to admit but I probably have close to 2k in my...

Lowered suburbans/xls hitch reciever vs ground

Get a 4" drop hitch and flip it upside down. Now instead of 4" or 5" you have 3" or 4" of lift. I've towed like that bagged, lowered, all types of suspension heights

    Torsion to coilover

I actually worked on ditching the torsion bars today and installing the Viking DA coilovers. I had spindles and turned down torsion bars before with Belltech 5305 springs in the back. I put some helper bags in the rear coils today, kept the spindles, and put together the Viking coilovers. I will...

I have a suspension, wheel, and brake question

I never updated on what I settled on for brakes. I am talking to a local machinist about possibly making a bracket to bolt Cayenne Q7 and VW Brembo calipers on the back of the SUVs. I think the rotors are the exact perfect size. Upfront the rotors are a little bigger but Eradispeed +1 might work...

    Freshing up front suspension

The truck is lowered with spindles in this picture and only slightly adjusted torsion bars. Today we went over all the front suspension and it was fine, the torsion bars were removed for Viking coilovers so tomorrow when we finish ride height, alignment, compression and rebound will be dialed...

06 Yukon is still in the air and I can't wait to get it down

My Yukon is lowered with spindles and Viking coilovers in the front. Belltech 5305 5" drop coils and Air Lift bags. Brembo front brakes with bigger rotors. I haven't decided what I'm doing with the back yet but when they get done today I'll drive it like this until I get my Trailblazer back and...

Question on the rear cargo sub enclosure

Yeah I totally forgot about that. I guess I will either open up the left side to fit a bigger sub or get a box that fires 2 or 3 10s or 12s down.

Question on the rear cargo sub enclosure

I have been doing a great deal of reading on this and building an enclosure on the left side. Is the right side a mirror of the left side? My installer made an enclosure with the 13TW5 in the back if my wife's 04 Yukon XL. Could an enclosure be made on the left side but inside of sitting behind...

Swapping body mounts for S10 mounts

This is something I heard about a long time ago and I keep seriously considering doing it but have never pulled the trigger. Well in the next couple of weeks all of the drivetrain will be removed from my Yukon so now is as good of a time as any. I was going to order the 12 S10 metal cups, 12 S10...

    Freshing up front suspension

I have a 2006 GMC Yukon with 237k miles on it now. As soon as I get my Trailblazer back I am making TONS of changes to my Yukon. My question is it feels loose and wonders on the road and also suffers bump steer. It is lowered with adjusted torsion bars and has some temporary Titan 18" wheels...

What's the verdict on DJM control arms?

I have lowered Yukons and Tahoes using lowering keys, DJM LCA, and spindles with adjusting the stock keys for desired drop. I have spindles on mine now and I'd like to remove the torsion bars with Atomic's coilover.

I have a suspension, wheel, and brake question

I'm already hydro boost and I found a Brembo GT front kit. I just wish I could upgrade the rear calipers now. And I found some 20" declad GMC wheels that have been widened to 11" for the rear. I'm going to pick it up this weekend. I've seriously considered Rudy's bracket for the rear but just...

    Torsion to coilover

Atomic says ditching the torsion bars and going with coilovers drops some significant weight off the front. I have plenty of other stuff to do to my Yukon before going coilovers.
