But my Trailblazer has 28x4.5x17 fronts and 345/40/17 on the back and it doesn't wander in the grooves. I don't know if it's how narrow the fronts are or just how narrow the entire truck is compared to a Silverado, Yukon, Tahoe.

I think 22s are a good size for these trucks once lowered. 24s ride like shit, the width of the 305mm wide tires cause them to not ride in the groove of the asphalt and hunt side to side. I had a lowered Silverado on Bonspeed 24s with 275/30/24 tires. They never would hunt in the groves of the...

We got the truck for 1400 because of an awful tap. Be it lifter or spin main everyone thought it was coming apart any minute. So far I've put almost 32k miles on it in 13 months just tapping away. I have the headers, Fast, 4.11 diff and axles are coming from the Silverado that was Procharged...

When I get SS brake lines do I order GMT800 or GMT900 lines? Because my plan after getting permanent wheels this weekend is GMT900 brakes for the front, inspecting the rear, getting SS lines and flush all the fluid. I did the same on my wife's Honda CRV. Which by the way I hate that piece of shit.

The two tone Yukon XL had U2 something or another 22" with a 305/40/22. The white Yukon had some 24" Dub Skillz or some BS like that. My daughter and I was coming home from Tuscaloosa after watching an Alabama game and at about 11pm or 12am one of the tires in good shape shredded. Of course it...

It's been awhile since I posted. Wheels, brakes, suspension drop

My ultimate plan is a LS2 shortblock, ported 243 heads and Fast 102, something like a BTR Stage 2 or 3, 1 3/4" headers, 3" collectors, dual 3" into 4" merge to my Duramax exhaust, Yank SS3600, extremely built 4L60E, 4.11 gears, Auburn locker, hardened axle shafts, and 31" tires. Texas Speed and...

It's been awhile since I posted. Wheels, brakes, suspension drop

Did I read correctly that the rear brakes I have now are better than GMT900 parts? I know it took me forever to get SSBC to believe me when I told them I had dual piston rear calipers. I finally just bought the parts, sent the single pistons parts back and about 5 months later they let me know...

That's my 416 LS3 Trailblazer and my Yukon I am talking about in this thread. The 24s are gone and it has 18" Titan wheels on it now. Although this weekend I am getting either 20" or 22" wheels for it. I know it needs brakes, some steering components, and for me to throw some of the parts the...

This is the Yukon I built for my wife with the SSBC BBK. All I had left to do was drop in a LQ9 from a Silverado SS but I ended up getting a crazy offer

Wheel clearance won't be a problem since I have spindles. What all should I get from the GMT900?

I have a suspension, wheel, and brake question

I wasn't talking about the PPV brakes specifically. I was talking about retrofitting later model larger diameter rotors, bigger calipers, and better pads. I paid 1400 for this 06 Yukon and spent that on the lowering kit. So 3k or whatever an aftermarket BBK is now is out of the question. My goal...

I have a suspension, wheel, and brake question

My last Yukon XL I built for my wife had 14" rotors front and rear with stock 2 piston calipers and on the front it had SSBC 3 piston calipers with SS lines and aggressive pad. Even with 305/40/22 it stopped strong. But with the Yukon I have now I am building it from spare parts from my...

4" tailpipe that fits Yukon XL 2500

I took the stock exhaust from my crew cab Duramax along with a Borla muffler and the shop cut it at the Y, mashed the 4" pipe to join the left and right side pipes, welded the 4" on and made it work with the single Borla muffler. It sounds awesome

It's been awhile since I posted. Wheels, brakes, suspension drop

I have an 06 Yukon with spindles, keys, DJM hardware and 5305 coils and airbags going into day. I had 24s and hated them. I'm looking for wheels big enough to clear the GMT900 brakes with a tire around 31.5-32" I also really don't want some sumo wrestlers for wheels. I have True Forged on my...

I highly doubt it but wouldn't fit on a lower 06?

I have a suspension, wheel, and brake question

My 2006 Yukon is lowered with keys and spindles up front. The DJM 5305 rear springs and hardware kit. No helper bags have been installed yet. However my sway bar endline is broken causing the sway bar to hit the exhaust. I am in the process of finding 22-24" wheels and run a 31.5-32" OD tire. I...

    2019 Tahoe/Yukon brakes on GMT800 SUV

I saw someone made a post of swapping 2019 Tahoe brakes on their GMT800. They have 4 piston calipers and larger rotors but I can't find that thread so I know what to get.

NEWBIE: Sierra Front Clip On Yukon

I know this is an old post but I am looking to Sierra swap with an HD hood on my 2006 GMC Yukon. What all is needed for the Sierra front end? I know what is needed for the HD hood swap on a GMC but what all parts will I need? Thanks

Lowered Yukon bump steer with 24s

Are people running steering stabilizers on lowered GMT800 with big wheels? I'm lowered with 4"-5".on 24x10 wheels with 305/35/24 tires. I didn't know if the steering stabilizers helped and were worth the money

    Best brake upgrades

My Yukon needs brakes bad. I'm seriously considering C6 Z06/GRANDSPORT calipers and 2 piece 15" front rotors and 14" rears but 22" wheels are required I believe. I've also seen GMT900 components used as an upgrade. If Brembo calipers from 5th and 6th Gen Camaro is possible please share all the...
