    Wow. After reading all the replies - it amazes me that a 'noise' in the tranny warrants replacing the entire unit. First off, is it a 4l60e / 4l65e or a 6l80e? Second, a "noise" could be anything. Does is shift strange, or slip? Is it low on fluid? It may not be the transmission at all...
