    Not usually,.. Rough idle is the first symptom of dirty tb. What youre describing sounds like fuel starvation.

    Sounds like a fuel delivery problem,... Fuel pump would be my first guess....check inline filter,.. check fuel rail pressure, (cheap gauge $20)

    Yes, clear tubing and little hose clamps are needed to keep it clean.

    I would call it more like a long shift rather than hard shift, but in any case, since Ive owned my truck it has always hung in 1st gear longer than I would have expected, but only the 1-2 shift, none other.... so I started doing the search here and found a few threads on how a dirty MAF sensor...
