    Finally replaced my headlights

Those look great. Very subjective, but I'm curious if there's any noticeable difference in light output after you changed them out.

    Oil Pressure Sensor Rerouting

I don't know how you did this, but it's amazing. I've replaced that thing on my '10 Avalanche 3 times. I come out beat up and bruised every time from having to lay on top of the engine to get to that damn thing.

    Bad alternator?

Update on this... Had to run a little longer on the bad alternator because I ordered the wrong part the first time. Wife drove home on Monday and got a message that she had no power steering. I read that the power steering on these things are electronic so that made sense to me. Got the correct...

    Bad alternator?

Yeah that's what I usually use to lookup parts. There is no specific idler pulley for the Tahoe, and a search for idler pulley returns generic results. That's why I'm wondering if the part listed as the tensioner is actually both. I don't know enough about the parts to know. I just watch YouTube...

    Bad alternator?

Any idea on part numbers? I think the tensioner is 12670574, but I can't seem to find a Tahoe specific part number for the idler pulley. Is it a generic part? Edit: Is it one unit that contains both parts?

    Bad alternator?

Think I should replace the serpentine belt while I'm in there? Truck has 204k miles on it, and as far as I can tell it's never been done. I know I've never done it and we've owned it since 50k.

    Bad alternator?

That's what I'm afraid of. From where she took the picture today, she drove 35 minutes home with it like that today. Perfect timing for us, when everybody has somewhere to be at the same time.

    Bad alternator?

Think I might have a bad alternator on my wife's 2015 Tahoe. Had a slight whining noise show up about a week ago. I couldn't find anything right off the bat and it didn't affect the drivability so I was gonna wait until this weekend to troubleshoot further. Today she sends me a picture of a...

Rear driver side brakes making awful creaking sound

I ordered it from Amazon. I usually pick up most of my parts from Amazon or RockAuto depending how much shipping RockAuto charges and how quickly I need them. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00EFBCJWC?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details

P/N for 2015 Tahoe LTZ sway bar links?

Couldn't find a VIN entry on RockAuto, but GMPartsDirect had it and narrowed it down for me. Thanks!!!

P/N for 2015 Tahoe LTZ sway bar links?

Anyone know how I can find the exact part number I need for front sway bar links for my 2015 Tahoe LTZ? I tried RockAuto, but they list 2 different part numbers: 23237268 and 25918049. Is there some sort of VIN lookup somewhere?

Rear driver side brakes making awful creaking sound

Finally fixed the problem over the weekend. Replaced the caliper piston and seals, and did a full brake job all the way around. No squeaks or creaks from anywhere now. Little concerned about the new seal as it didn't seem like it wanted to seat properly, so I'll have to check it after a little...

Do I have a stuck caliper?

@swathdiver Do you know if these parts will fit a 2015 Tahoe LTZ? I need to rebuild the rear driver side caliper and all I'm finding is a genuine front piston. Do you know if it will work for the rear caliper like it did for my Avalanche?

Rear driver side brakes making awful creaking sound

I usually use Powerstop for our Tahoe and Avalanche. However, I did the brakes on the Tahoe around the same time as my son's 4Runner. Centric rotors and Akebono pads were recommended on the 4Runner forum so I went with those on both vehicles. They have squeaked since day 1 on both vehicles, and...

Rear driver side brakes making awful creaking sound

It's done this for quite a while too. I've even done a full brake job that didn't make any difference at all. That's why I'm starting to lean towards the caliper itself. I think my next step is to rebuild the caliper if I can find the part number for the piston. Rockauto only has a genuine...

Rear driver side brakes making awful creaking sound

No salt here in North Georgia. That rust color is the copper anti-seize I put on the back of the pads.

Rear driver side brakes making awful creaking sound

I just did this exact same thing to them except I use copper anti-seize on the clips and pad contact points. It sounds very similar to a bed creaking or a metal spring. I'm thinking I might rebuild the calipers to see if that helps. I recently did that on my Avalanche with a stuck caliper...

Rear driver side brakes making awful creaking sound

The pads are good. Just checked them when I rotated the tires and they aren't even close to the squealer. It makes the sound when the car is not even moving. The video was of the car sitting in the garage and me pumping the brake pedal just to get it to make the sound.

Rear driver side brakes making awful creaking sound

Our 2015 Tahoe has a terrible creaking sound from the rear driver side. Doesn't appear to affect anything, but just sounds awful. I cannot figure out what is causing it or how to fix it. I ran across another thread here with a similar problem that turned out to be the parking brake cable. Not...

Considering Nitto Terra Grappler G2 265/70/18 vs. Falken ATW4 275/70/18

Well, as things would go I ended going with something totally different. I read a good review online on the Nitto Ridge Grapplers and how they were essentially improved Terra Grappler G2's. Tire shop had a set of those in 275/70/18 and price matched another local shop, so I ended up going with...

Considering Nitto Terra Grappler G2 265/70/18 vs. Falken ATW4 275/70/18

Need to get new tires for my 2010 Avalanche. I've got a 3" lift and currently have Pirelli Scorpion AT+ 265/65/18 (they suck, bad decision). I've run this size tire forever bc anything larger rubbed against my automatic running boards. I've since been able to shift the running boards a little...

Do I have a stuck caliper?

Update: Replaced the piston, boot, and internal o-ring. Appears to be functioning properly now. Had the wife hop in the truck and push and let off the brake and made sure I could still spin the wheel once she let off. Could not do that before I started the work. Didn't see anything glaringly...

Do I have a stuck caliper?

Thanks for all the info. I've ordered a bunch of parts and watched a bunch of youtube videos so I've got several things to check when all the parts arrive. Will update as I figure out more.

Do I have a stuck caliper?

2010 Avalanche 4x4...So I've definitely got something going on with my right rear brakes. I had a good squeal going on so I was prepared to change the rear brakes. After getting everything apart, the pads had plenty of life on them but the brake hardware was broken. So I cleaned everything...

    Lifter tick?

Gotcha. I haven't done much work on the Tahoe and saw those the other day when I was changing the oil and had to do a double take too. My Av has a much bigger shield over the engine so my immediate thought was that at some point I took it off and lost it. :)
