I think a new timing chain is the Best Option. I've checked the timing chain (tuning the crankshaft by Hand in one direction to tdc 1st cylinder and looking at the Rotor in the distributor and then turned it back in the other direction "counter clockwise" ... 12 degree off :(...i think the chain...
There's a clutch inside the torque converter?
I think i need an extra Tool for the tech2 Analysis...? A stand alone pc Software is my favorite.
Okay... I've asked Google: so is it right that i'm maybe in the limp Mode? Could that really a sign of a bad torque converter without any trouble codes?
Hi Guys,
i've an 96 tahoe (350 vortec with a 4L60E tranny).
Since one week i have no power at acceleration in (D)... The car only Starts to move at 1500rpm. The other gears working fine, but no OD. When i shift manually from 1-2-3 everything works fine.
I have no trouble Codes but i know that...
Good morning ;)
But when there's a vacuum leak how can it be that my car has this symptoms sometimes and not all the time?
I checked the dipstick: i can't smell gas in the oil
Hi Big Mama,
the engine has a Multi Port fuel injection kit installed.... And yes: sometimes i could smell some fuel. Hmmmm, sounds interesting.
Wich lines are important to Check for vacuum leaks?
On Friday i'm going to Check my fuel pump again with a pressure gauge.... I've done this...
Hi Wolfbraid,
thank you for your answer. Yes... I mean the fuel pressure regulator.
The relax was a good idea... I testen it with an relax from another truck: no change :(
Hi Guys,
I can't fix the problem since my last post..:(
Oil pressure sensor is okay amd a new fpr is installed...nothing changed.
But: most of the time when i start my chevy it runs great when teh engine is cold...when the engine warms up, the chevy runs rough and bugs betwenn...
I think the injectors are okay because all the spark plugs are dry and there's no gas in the oil. I've tested two fuel pump assys...it's the same: it's not holding the pressure. A new reguulator is ordered...I will fix it on saturday.
No...the voltage is really good all the time...:(
It's weird...i've checked the fuel pressure again: with ignition on and engine off the pressure goes to 60psi and falls immediatly down to zero.
I've changed:
- the distributor (complete assembly with sensor, cap and rotor)
- a new fuel pump with filter
First i got the code P1345 (ckp and cam sensor not correlation...or so) so i set the timing to something between zero and -2 degrees (not so easy with this programm) and the code was...
Hey Guys,
Every year a new problem with my 96 Tahoe (350tbi). Last year i've changed the injectors (cpfi to mpfi) and everything worked fine..;)
Now i've another problem: my chevy runs rough at idle, stalling at acceleration and loss power. last year i've changed a lot or parts. With this new...
Hi Guys,
How can i remove these plastic affords (i'll hope that's the correct translation) from my 95 Tahoe?
I would like to install some yellow sidemarkers...;)
Best regards from Germany
Matthias
Servus,
I've not measured the pressure while cranking...:( what should it be?
The distributor cap is from acdelco. The TPS is at 0% when closed.
I've tried it with the unpluged MAF and air temperature sensor...nothing...:(
But there is something that i've forgot: The last weeks when myy chevy...
Ok,
I've installed an other fuel pump...59psi at the schrader valve
Aaaand: no fuel at the injectors and no start..:(
The chevy wants to start with starting fluid. The first time i used too much starting fluid, so it backfires one time thru the intake..:(
Hi east302,
You're right: there was pressure about 60psi.
I've tested it with another fuel pressure gauge from a friend (he has an professional one and i cant find mine)...his fuel pressure gauges reads 50psi at ignition on and engine off. While cranking it goes up to 52psi...:(
The rpm, ect and tps are okay.
Now zero rpm, temperature it at 17 degrees and tps is at zero.
I've never done a compression test.
Fuel pressure is near 55psi (too low now...)?
I've spark on every cylinder.
I think that compression (bad or worn timing chain) has nothing to do with the...
Ok,
Installed test light on each injector circuit:
Ignition on: light is lightly on
Cranking: light flickers
diconnecting VCM (red an blue): light is off
So: is my VCM bad or damaged?
Hi east302,
That's great...:)! Thank you...!!!
I can test it on Sunday.
One question: what is the fuel injector coil test? Something with the ICM?
Best regards
Matthias
